The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
Lighten up Jara, we have played a few finals and even Grand Finals in that time, so not in the swamp at the bottom of the ladder for 50 years.

If you keep talking rubbish it does not make it true. When will you get it through your head that Hogan wanted to go home. He would have gone this year for nothing, we got something that got us May. That is not peanuts. May gives everything and cares for the MFC, Hogan moved on years ago, time you did too.

Maybe we should put Spargo in the ruck, and say that the other ruckman are stopping him from contesting the ball because Spargo can't reach it before it's tapped out! FMD

The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
Two nominated players contest the ruck. If any other player stops a nominated player that is a free. If one nominated ruckman stops the other through strength or guile that is ruck craft, providing no other rules are broken. At almost every ruck contest the nominated ruckmen are attempting to prevent their opponent from reaching the ball but that is contesting the ball. Ruckcraft 101 do not let your opponent get their hands on the ball, but according to idiot umpires if you are good that means a free kick to your opponent. AFL please inform umpires that the nominated ruckmen are already contesting the ball, so no free unless another rule is broken or a non nominated player gets in the way.

So what we gave up ended up being Adelaide's picks, Darcy Fogarty and Ned McHenry. Rather have Lever.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
If the Flying Pigs beat the Cow Jumped over the Moons and and the Rocking Horse [censored] beat the Chickens Teeth then we have 5/8th of 3/16th of FA chance. IMHO

How? With only one suitor he was worth what they were prepared to pay. If they waited a year he would have been worth nothing.

Funnily it almost makes more sense that way.- Come Whatever MAY
Funny how the forward line worked better last year when Hogan wasn't playing, how do you account for that? Hogan also has not proven to be a good player in a successful team, in fact he is at his worst in big games. I have said many times that I believe that Hogan has huge potential, but sadly I don't think he will ever reach it. I happen to think that Hogan was gone and there was little we could do to keep him. I think getting May from losing Hogan was the best that we could do. I also think May is a leader, he appears to provide a leadership that we have not had for years and it would appear that Nathan Jones also thinks he provides leadership. Most of what you say is opinion with little or no factual back up, you make gross assumptions based on your biases and I happen to disagree with much of what you say, at the end of the day we disagree who cares.- Come Whatever MAY
Because Hogan has proven to be such a great player for Fremantle? Note: Hogan and Jayden Hunt this year both have 1 goal 1 point per game average. Hunt has played more games had more tackles, more inside 50's, better disposal efficiency, more metres gained and more intercepts than Hogan, and many people think Hunt should be dropped. What about Hogan compared to May? May has less games and averages more disposals, more tackles, better disposal efficiency, more 1%ers, more metres gained and more intercepts. May is a better leader (not hard) Hogan has potential to be a very good player, May is a very good player.- We are due for a Rebuild.

You do not know the team rules. So if you don't know the team rules how could you know the difference between braking them and an error in all circumstances? You cannot. I have made no claim to knowing team rules, but I can spot an error. Like a missed kick, dropped mark, poor handball these are errors and we all make them. Is punching the ball in a marking contest into the corridor against team rules in defence? Possibly. If you stuff it up that's an error, if you keep doing it probably not.- Come Whatever MAY

Happy to agree that you don't know the team rules, and that you don't know the difference between making an error and breaking team rules. - CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Western Bulldogs
