Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ

There is one obvious solution. Move back to the MCG. The surface is now managed so much better than in the past that I would be very surprised if it could not handle a few nights of training each week. The MCC should simply tell the AFL that we are moving back home. Keep Gosch's & Casey for summer training. This is such an easy solution that it borders on ridiculous, don't be surprised if it happens. Lose public land or lose some other public land or , hang on we could move back to the MCG if that helps! OK

Pedantic is an adjective. I did not say I was "a pedantic", I said "I am pedantic". I shall presume you misread my post. I am a pedant as is obvious. But thank you and welcome to the club, "Pedants R Us" .

I think a topic is dead when Nazis, Hitler or Eddie McGuire is mentioned. EG, Some posters are like Hitler and they think Eddie is a Nazi. That should do it!

What about the irony of using an imported diagram that shows a "receiver catching the ball"

I know he is tall but the highest point is usually rather high. I think you and others mean at his maximum reach. I know I am pedantic but surely we could use the language correctly and not repeat imported idioms like "from the get go" - "early doors" - "fat side"..............

Shaun Smith not happy with Joel's medical treatment.

It was a practice match! Play with 4 players for all I care, rest the lot of them. It is not as if the AFL would penalise any team for protecting players health. Edit: I can imagine a smart coach with several injured players in a practice match saying to the opposition coach, How do you feel about playing 16 a side we have a few injuries, happy for you to play a full side but we will be short?

Smiths injury was in a meaningless practice match. Why play a player clearly in pain?

Shaun Smith not happy with Joel's medical treatment.

I wish the Essendon parents had come out and criticised EFC about the experimental drug program. If your son was visibly in pain and put back on the field in a practise match you would have every right to complain in my opinion.

		Steven May - drinking session

What? Did we trade Tom McDonald when I wasn't looking. The myths around Hogan are giving me the shlts! Hogan never kicked 50 goals in a season. Hogan has not been our top goal scorer over the last two seasons. Hogan has kicked less this season than Jayden Hunt! Oh and if you think he is up the ground doing more then, Less metres gained than Hunt Less tackles than Hunt Worse disposal efficiency than Hunt Less contested possessions than Hunt Lower Supercoach score than Hunt Why did I compare Hogan to Hunt? Because he is our whipping boy but apparently Hogan is a superstar. Get over Hogan, he is gone.

Only a fool would try to win. "I am sorry you were right." Works a treat, regardless of the facts. A pyrrhic victory is not worth it.

		Crowd incident - Hawks Dees

Resorting to physical violence to me means that you have lost the argument. I am a big fan of pointing to the scoreboard. (When we win) (Shutting up when we lose) In an advanced society there is no place for punching people. Probably no place for public drunkeness and no place for stupidity. Violence is not a solution. For those advocating that the Hawthorn supporter got what he deserved I say an intelligent human would assess the situation and walk away knowing that there is no benefit in escalating the situation. An intelligent human will take in all available information (likelihood of CCTV for instance - or retaliation from hoards of opposition supporters - the possibility of accidentally killing someone and going to gaol) An intelligent human assesses the information and makes informed decisions. An intelligent person does not put themselves or loved ones at risk. No one deserves to be hit. Some people need help and guidance, hitting is no solution.

		Gary Pert

I think that Pert in this scenario would be more a President or Prime Minister and the unit or regiment could be likened to Goodwin & Mahoney. So can I infer that the more removed from day to day management the less impact?
