  1. Can't wait for Damo's 'A reliable source has suggested to me' scoop next week. Purple [censored].
  2. With the gamenon the line in the last quarter, ball in hand and chipping around waiting for the right option i50. Ball gets to Melksham and he decides to launch long to a contest. Wrong. Immediately sent to the goal square. He'll be playing next week at Casey.
  3. That's a far cry from a cheap shot pal, but whatever floats your boat. Like I've said repeatedly I rate him very highly and I think I'm within my rights to state this criticism in this thread. Last I'll say.
  4. No bias here Sue. As I've stated repeatedly I'm a fan and love him as a player, and he had a super game yesterday, but he has this one weakness. I must've missed the one he took yesterday as we had a short blackout during the game (the price you pay living in a 3rd world country), but surely you must've noticed him regularly dropping 'sodas'. I'm not going to mention it again as I'd hate for this to become another Watts bashing thread, I only brought it up as I thought it fit with the topic. Likewise I didn't mention it in the post match thread as it certainly wasn't his fault that we lost the game.
  5. I know it's harsh, and don't get me wrong, he was immense today. It's not an attack as such, but it's definitely accurate. He's been dropping those marks since day dot. It's his final frontier for me and he could have had a couple of shots on goal early that he wouldn't have missed. Completely agree with what you've said, all players have weaknesses - but they can be overcome. Nate Jones kicking had people calling for his head early in his career. He's found a way, Watts needs to with his marking. Also correct on the other players, although I thought Clarrie copped a lot of illegal attention in the 1st quarter and that probably killed his tank as it would've been eating at him. From a tactical POV I think in those situations he'd be better off running a tag on the oppos best mid and try to take 2 out of the game, He's been noticed now which is a credit to his ability.
  6. No, no, not a throw, that was a legal disposal, play on.
  7. Elephant 4 - I love Watts like a brother, but has he ever taken a mark in his hands out in front? Ever? He was terrific today but he dropped some easy marks, and some tough ones, but he should be expected to take them. I'm a little concerned he's been training at the Chris Dawes school of marking.
  8. Everything is so disgustingly one-sided, it really is a disgrace to the league management and media. I'd go as far as to say it's the best thing that's ever happened to the EFC. They'll end up dominating the competition out of this. They know they're untouchable, they can lie, cheat, steal, do whatever it takes (cough cough) and they know it will all be positive. [censored] off. If I didn't love my club I'd walk away. I don't know if it will happen but the other clubs should really get together and let Gil know all this [censored] needs to be toned down. He's obviously pulling the strings, with Ruperts help (or vice versa) and I'm sure other clubs supporters will have already walked away from their sport over this.
  9. With the club refusing to provide documentation on what was injected it's impossible to know what long term benefits these players have gained. I find it completely unnaceptable they've been allowed to remain at the instigating club, and rather they should have been farmed out across the league via some kind of mini draft mechanism or the like. The so called 'top-ups' from last year should've been the new list and they rebuild from there. It's simply not good enough to allow that club to reap any potential benefits from blatant cheating. Let's hope The Verve got it right and the drugs don't work! With their track record, I'd also guarantee their little compensation payouts have tainted the salary cap, so yet another leg up for the poor victim club. As for the commentary on last nights game, I don't think I've ever heard anything so sickening. The poor players who've been put through so much because of the drugs saga. It wasn't a [censored] saga, it was blatant cheating by means of an illegal PE drug injection program. They are not the victims, they are not heros, they are officially the cheats. The only reason it went on so long is because they tried to slow everything down and worm their way out one way or anoher. By contrast, have a look at the other club involved - the Cronulla Sharks. Cheated, take your medicine (pardon the pun) and move on.
  10. I can't even get the AFL homepage going. How much is Gil getting paid again?
  11. I figured as much after I clicked on the FAQ/Terms link several times to find out, and was returned to the same page. So this statement on the link provided: every afl match wherever you are is a straight out lie.
  12. Has Dec had a crack Drunkn? How's he going, and Smith (Tim) as well?
  13. Well now that Jack is back in the side I'm looking forward to seeing this 'seriously good player' run around later today.
  14. I can't understand how 'the dog ate my homework' never once worked all those years ago back in school.
  15. Suddenly you appear to be feeling a lot better. lol
  16. You don't look well faulty, perhaps you've got that nasty bug that's getting about.........
  17. Is this a serious post?
  18. His progress will be very interesting as a mid coming from basketball with little to no footy for however long to get a rookie B gig. I'm not sure how the fitness levels translate. There're plenty of examples of successful mids with basketball backgrounds, but none that I know of that weren't also playing footy.
  19. Considering his major weakness last year was his tank, Im absolutely stoked that Clarrie's running around with Cross for a few weeks. I mean, who else could you possibly want him to learn off??? I'd be surprised if it's not part of his program regardless of return condition, they're obviously working on that deficiency. I recall video from half time of a match last year were the whole team was sitting on the benches listening to Roosy, except Clarence who was pumping away on an exercise bike (while also listening). I think he'll stamp his name on the competition this season. He'll be a household name by the end of 2017.
  20. The robbo conundrum - at the breakfast table: do I go the red, or straight to the whiskey? Oh, sorry, wrong robbo.
  21. I had a bet on Cotchin at the odds of $110, but that's the only detail of the bet I can remember. Betfairs online history doesn't allow you to go back very far. I sent them an email early in the piece to ask for the bet details and what would happen but received an email undeliverable response. I didn't bother following up at that stage as there was still a lot to play out. If the Brownlow is given to them though I will definitely be following up and will report the outcomes.
  22. What if Relton Roberts was still available?
  23. A travel anywhere spittoon in the shape of T$ head.
