  1. Wow this will never end. Judging by the comments section of that story, after this finally calms down it'll be the EFC propaganda department suing the club for overwork after their typing fingers fall off.
  2. That's all well and good saty, but regardless of him being teachers pet he really needs to be showing consistency from week to week. If he plays this week he's earned it off the back if one good run. If he's an emergency and doesn't play for Casey it robs him of an opportunity to show some consistency. To me it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and don't get me wrong, I still hold hope for him being a good player. He showed good signs early in his career and has been hampered since. He's been a flop so far this year after not being made to earn his spot, I don't think he's done that yet, despite his huge stats last week.
  3. Obviously it can't be ignored, but I would much prefer to see him do it on a more regular basis before coming back in. He always seems to come back into the team off the back of only 1 good performance
  4. Gee, I hope they're all ok.
  5. Didn't there used to be a rule about no hands in the back in a marking contest?
  6. I'm surprised Melksham isn't playing this game. His form in the AFL looked like someone that was way out of touch with the game, obviously not having played for the 12 months. At one point he simply froze with no idea what to do next. He just needed more footy. After going back to the VFL for some touch he subsequently produced on the big stage. I would've kept him going rather than have the week off.
  7. Fair call, you do know what the wooden thing's for right!
  8. This is exactly what I was thinking.
  9. Perhaps we should consider calling ourselves the Melbourne Emus. Quite clearly if you're on the National Coat of Arms you're a protected species.
  10. Are you sure it was the goon? Perhaps he was watching a replay of last weeks first quarter.
  11. Very confident. We'll destroy them from the centre out. Dees by > 10 goals.
  12. So ah, when's umpire appreciation round again?
  13. Zaharakis was suspended last year for a stomach punch. This [censored] AFL line that the MRP didn't have a mechanism to suspend players for stomach punches is a load of crap. They can and they have, in this instance they CHOSE not to.
  14. Couldn't wait till after the rematch hey. [censored]
  15. @Satyriconhome Is this something you can assist with? It's common knowledge you speak regularly with coaches and players, are you able to find out whether any action was taken by the club towards the umpires department?
  16. Are you a retired Australian Football League Player? Are you struggling to deal with life after football and all of lives patterns and consistencies are all totally unpredicatable? Are you coming to the realisation that you're total incompetent and under prepared for life in the real world? Are you finding that rules and systems just don't seem to work, regardless how everyone else seems to understand them? Here at the AFL Match Review Panel - WE WANT YOU!!!!
  17. Perhaps we should replace the boundary line with some kind of wire fencing. I reckon the shape of the footy grounds are a bit old fashioned as well, I'm thinking an upgrade to something more, I don't know, octagonal, would that work?
  18. I think you actually answered your own question there.
  19. So I'm guessing no case to answer for any of the trips? Then again, how could there ever be a suspension for a trip because they can't be graded as high contact.
  20. I think it speaks volumes on our progress that despite playing poorly for much of the game, the umps weren't willing to risk evening up the free kick count.
  21. Yes I believe you are correct, and would you believe umpire no. 15 was on duty that day also.
  22. Weids probably got a game today off the back of some good tackles last week. Everyone on here was raving about his game so I didn't say anything. I thought he was average at best last week and should've been back at Casey. Having said that, I have no idea who would come in for him.
  23. Anyone suggesting umpire Nicholls is a poor umpire needs to realise he's had the last 2 grand finals. As far as AFL house is concerned he's doing a great job. Work that one out!
  24. I thought I was hearing things, but the whole commentary team went suspiciously quiet.
  25. Did Hamish just mis-pronounce Hunts name?????
