Wow, that went to [censored] quickly. I was trying to line up future potential and rough chances of meeting potential. I think O'meara's a massive risk, while Trenners ceiling isn't quite so high but neither is the risk. ANB as GCS have plenty of outside run, I'd imagine he'd provide some extra grunt to get the ball to them. He has a big upside, he just isn't what we need at this moment. Point taken though, and upper cut self-administered. Moot point now anyway with JT signing on again. Good news. Just as a matter of interest, are there other players that have been traded with similar injury histories? I'd say Mitch Clark, but can't recall others. I can't see GCS getting anywhere near what they're asking for, but you never know I guess.

Attached is a representation of Carlton's season, in terms of Disposals (D), Contested Possessions (CP), Clearances (CLR), Tackles (T) and Frees Against (FA). Frees Against is displayed on a different scale (right hand side) as the volumes are so low it wouldn't demonstrate the point. I'd suggest from a season perspective they were about their mark on each of those stats, except one..... I realise stats don't tell the whole story, but this is poking me in the eye (with no free kick paid). Sure we may not have been first to the ball all day, but I haven't seen a rule stating if you're first to the ball you can't be penalised. The rules still state you must either dispose of the ball legally if first to the ball, or tackle legally if second to the ball. Disclaimer: Not saying we would have won, simply stating this game was very unusual in regards to the free kick count of one team.

You see this is the problem with the MFC at present. Too much is left up to the younger players, the experienced leaders need to be stepping up. So, Viney to injure Selwood, and Vince to injure Dangerfield.

I reckon they were very lenient on the Blues 'disposal' of the ball. Most of the time we laid a tackle they'd simply drop the ball, and I don't recall them ever getting pinged for it.

Exactly. Essentially if you win a game with a lower percentage than your current overall season percentage - it will decrease. If you win a game with a higher percentage than your current overall season percentage - it will increase.

Some quick maths tells me if we were to score our season average of 87 points, to get near the Roos %age of 107.6, we'd need to restrict Carlton to roughly 35 points.
