I think it is our duty as a club to boo and hish Judd everytime he goes near the ball.

was there ever a bigger case of prostitution in history? Notwithstanding the time I was made to eat my greens before I could go and see my beloved Dees trounce the Dawks at Glenferrie oval.

aaah, *sigh* memories - they won that day, too.

I think a demonstration against Judd for treating us with contempt could end up counterproductive and spur him on to play a great game. That said, if he's struggling and Melbourne are winning well (please :wub: ) then I'll probably be the first to let him know it.

I wonder how our players regard this situation. The likelihood is that they don't care one way or the other but back in John Northey's day he would have used this sort of thing as a spur to rev up his charges. Shows how different football is today and how different our club is these days. I think they play with all the emotion of a dead fish nowadays.

100% concur Whispering - that was the day that matthews broke steve smith's nose and the older johnno played a blinder on dipper. standing room only, a couple of cans, game worth eight points and they pulled it off!!

Emotion? what emotion? that went out the door with commitment, loyalty, camaraderie, humility, you know what i'm talking about....

ps do parents out there still feed their kids brussel sprouts??

i dont blame him for not choosing us, have a look at us, we are a rabble, so it was a smart choice, carlton are going to be force in years to come, we on the other hand, you be the judge, we all just dont know what to predict with melbourne. if we had of had him we would still be lanquishing on the bottom, he hasnt played that good has he? by whatever tactics carlton have done in the past, im giving them credit, we werent smart enough to do the same. i love the club, and i pay my membership even though i live interstate, but get over it, chris judd is only a person like everyone else on the field, maybe a little better, but really ive been over it for ages.

Really, what is the purpose of going to the footy and boo-ing. I dont take that much notice of opposition players. Prefer to watch ours and what they're up to.

Though i will be watching Fev kick for goal. He has the best kicking action in the league, and it goes a long way as well.

As for Judd, he was never coming to MFC!! Lyon was the only one getting a 'rodger' of it. Now the rest of you get over it. And NO, J Brown will never be seen at the Junction Oval or Casey Fields, so get over that too!!! Happy days

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     DRUBBING by Meggs

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

    The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week.
