Changes which need to be made for next week.

1. Neitz to be in a forward pocket

2. Robertson and Neitz to lead from goal square, Tony Lockett style 30m out shots at goal.

3. More penetrating kicks into 50 not on the 50.

4. Replace Davey with Valenti

5. Moloney into Mid field.

6. No long Kicks to one on ones. We dont have anyone strong enough to take a strong grab 1-1 unless going to Neitz in goalsquare.

7. Send Miller back to Sandringham,

8. Bring back Whelan, Rivers.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Far too considerate! I think there is a Sandringham in the UK. He would struggle there too!

It's a football; kick it;

Wattching Morton is one of the few things that please me, at the moment. He is no champion yet, but, he just might be!

Here is what annoys me the most. Seems to happen with whoever we play.

When we rebound from our D50... We're slow, indecisive and can only ever seem to find stationary 1on1s or leads where their opponent is still able to spoil.

When other team rebounds, they go through the middle, their leads seem to be 5 meters in front of our player or there is string of unmanned players across the entire field.

Are you kidding me. I thought he played a descant game on B.Johnson today. in the first half he kept he pretty quiet.

drop weetra, buckley, bode, garland...not ready for AFL footy yet...

That's right, lets drop our future now so we can have less pain next week. But we can have an extended envelope of pain over the next few years by bringing on the kids via the drip feed.

Spot on. And had enough of players streaming from the backline only to stop and handpass to a stationary target, stuff the handpass and turn it over for an opposition goal. Surely it can't be instinctual to stop and handpass when you're clear and running out of defence.

Yes 'Addam Magic" Bruce kept the dangerous Johnson very quiet and yet Yze Magic with his intense hatred for Cam wants him to be the first to go! THANK GOD HE IS NOT A SELECTOR! He would have to be the greatest knocker of our Melbourne team.

What absolute [censored] about Bruce. Did you go to the game? You are paranoid mate. GO and barrack for someone else. You have NO LOYALTY at all. King KNOCKER!

More CAC blunders.

Weetra - Pick 62 in 2006. Massive failure!

Bode - Off the rookie list. What was CAC thinking at that time!

Garland - He's only played four games in sides that have been comprehensively flogged. :o

CAC deserves to fairly analysed and assessed. But FFS do it on the picks that count with a fair consideration of the facts.

Miller was far from our worst last week - I thought he had a dip which could not be said for the majority who took the field - Junoir deserved much more..

By playing Cameron Bruce so deep, you lose a good player.... although was not sure he was fully fit!!

weetra must be put back to sandy - he looks like he is lost out there.. lindsay gilbee was the most effective player in the first half and weetra touched it once i think... also looked to be a little slow

garland - two efforts on the outer wing were terrible.. not attacking the footy and not marking it in front of the eyes.. once might be understandable but twice in a minute, well... really struggled.......

the problem is that the leadership group and senior players are also playing so poorly and really is there anything to be gained in dropping the youngsters....

would dropping a robbo have a bigger impact...

on saturday he was getting me so infuriated with his selfishness!! i am at a loss of words to describe his footy at the moment.. going for the spectacular when even the easy is made to look hard.. i would be much be happier if he chased, presented harder, shephered and acted like a leader of the team..

we do not do the unselfish things good clubs do.... on saturday the number of times we switched the ball but then we had no-one to kick to.. no-one was prepared to run hard to make space and to make a lead....

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. One to watch in 2024. Date of Birth: 7 March 2003 Height: 191cm Games MFC 2024: 15 Career Total:  15 Goals MFC 2024: 0 Career Total:  0 Games CDFC 2024: 6 Goals CDFC 2024: 0

2024 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. 2024 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin

The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
