I can honestly say today I went into the game knowing we would get belted...all pre-season we have been poor, unable to hit targets and lacking in any noticeable team structure. Today however, I think the most glaring issue was the sides lack of confidence. All to often the players first instinct was to kick sideways, handball to stationery teammates, not take risks and not kick through the corridor...what kick in structure is in place? how difficult can it be for a professional AFL side to work on a structured kick in system (and if it doesnt work have an option b or c ?) anyone who says keep the faith with Bailey and his coaching team are dreaming...we have been all conned by his constant generic responses and its time this side stood up and showed some heart...we all deserve more as supporters! hard decisions needs to be made sooner rather than later as the core of any good side is confidene...and this team has none under bailey!!

yes we are obligated to put them on the mature age rookie list, however, we also have the option of paying out their contracts and delisting them. Neither player will be at Melbourne next year...

my take on the night... was absolutely fantastic!! very happy with the picks and cant wait to see them all play! did anyone else find it hilarious when CC said he was very proud of the coaching staff for "manufacturing" the result against Richmond...probably a comment he should keep to himself for the future! GO DEES!!

speaking to Josh Mahoney last night at the MFC event...both players will be paid out for the remaining years on their contracts. Good move by the club as they can now focus on rookie listing players who can actually add something to the side....

I’m sick of everyone defending the coach by saying we don’t have the cattle...granted we have several deficiencies within the side, however, we are not playing to any of our strengths and the players have no idea how to execute this current game plan (whatever it is).... What do these players work on at training every week? Why are they so unfit and incapable of playing accountable footy...surely the coaching staff realise the game plan isn’t working with this group...why persist and get belted every week?? What does that achieve for the players, the staff, the members and supporters of the side! today was a perfect opportunity to play man on man footy...make every player accountable for someone...then at least that could be some guide as to how individuals are performing...instead we played loose men in defence...persisted with run and carry...and the game was over 5 minutes into the 1st quarter! i for one really hope the blow torch is put on Bailey this week...he's the leader of this team and he must be held responsible for such a shocking start to the year...

in the 3rd quarter today davey kicked the opening goal and was then interchanged..wtf?? why???? this is becoming a common trend..score a goal and get taken off...its just silly....

as supporters we should all hold the new coach accountable...2 years ago we were top of the table...now (with pretty much the same list) today we are a rabble... the difference between us and the Geelongs and Hawthorns of 2-3 years ago is that they had actual quality depth and young players with the ability to hold down key positions...the weetra's. bode's, garland's, sylvia's, newton's, dunn's and many more will not win us a premiership!! we are a kicking team that can beat side's with rebound footy...all this handball [censored] is not us and never will be due to the fact that we don't have the players to implement the game plan...we don't have pace and we don't have the skills...FACT! if you spent a year in your job and performed like Melbourne have been performing...would you not be held accountable???

Sylvia will be lucky to be kept on the list by years end if he doesn't pull his finger out...all well and good to have a half decent 4th quarter when the game is over ala Robbo......as a team we are shocking....no one on the list at the moment could be considered a good player....

mmm... great to see Wheels back and Garland out (needs time back at Sandy to build some confidence)...cj is lucky to stay in the side as well... Id say Robbo has one more week to show something or he is out... never thought id say this but i'll miss PJ being in the side...he has been great this year!

is it just me or do 90% of the players lack muscle mass in the side...how many times today did the players not hold onto tackles, get pushed off the ball and in some instances (get picked up by opposition players - Miller and Morton with Hunt) even brock got shoved away too easily in some instanced when the tackles should have stuck... players down the spine - especially Neita, Newton (in the games he has played), Robbo, Rivers - wtf have they been doing pre-season...Robbo to me also looks overweight and lacking defined muscle...the only player who has a rock solid body is Sylvia...pity he has no f'n idea how to play the game...

Did anyone hear Grant Thomas on SEN this morning saying he had heard rumours of issues within the side and that Brad Green was thinking of leaving at years end along with Silvia who wanted to go to Adelaide (we can only hope)...both wouldn't be worth more than a 2nd rounder IMO...thoughts?
