David Dunbar

Melbourne's new forward scout David Dunbar is in the news after being ejected twice from Hawthorn training sessions. The Sunday Age reports that Dunbar, who has only been in the job for a couple of weeks, clashed heatedly with Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson when Dunbar refused an invitation to leave one of his sessions.

The Hawks must be worried. They already have three players out suspended for the Rd 1 game and now Campbell Brown could also miss after an incdent in last night's Nab Cup game v Carlton.

Brown will not miss over that incident.

I think he will. He has got form and his eyes were not on the ball.

He tucked himself up to hit him under the armpit with his full body.

I thought Kruezer did well to get up. No wonder he missed his shot at goal.

Unfortunately Hawthorn's list is long and strong atm.

At the rate they're going, Hawthorn will be lucky to have enough players to make a team for Rd 1. Crawford, Lewis and Hodge already rubbed out, and 3 more reported last night (though admittedly Franklin only copped a wrestling charge).

I agree.

Brown should miss - he clearly attacked the player and not the ball

More Dunbar stuff in the Age:-

Demon's super spy goes incognito

The tale of Melbourne's new super spy and his running battle with Hawthorn has taken another twist this week.

Pssst told you last Sunday that Demons opposition analyst David Dunbar clashed heatedly with coach Alastair Clarkson ahead of the clubs' round-one meeting, and had been ejected from Waverly Park twice.

This week, Dubar watched training in disguise - dressed as a construction worker, in full workman attire. He watched for an hour before being spotted and ejected, for the third time.

What a legend!

Gotta love that persistence!

Love the ingenuity! Good to see the devotion to duty. Well done Dunbar. However I don't expect him to dress up as a Hawthorn supporter to watch them. That would be asking too much of the poor bloke. No one gets paid that much.

isn't this one of the best things i have heard in the last couple of weeks...talk about commitment, we need this guy to give insperational talks to our senior plays...thats fantastic! it shows how seriously DB and the crew are taking their jobs!!!

In breaking news, Melbourne forward scout David Dunbar has been ejected from hawthorn training for a fourth time. This time he was disguised as a biker, complete with leather hat and handlebar moustache. Word has it that an Indian costume was found in the trunk of his car.

Well he is the Innovations Coach and he is being quite innovative.....

I beleive he is also trialing clever tree disguise and has purchased a Ronald McDonald outfit...

Getting dressed up as Prince Harry in Combat Fatigues

If the Taliban can't find you in their own backyard then what hope do the "Dorks" have?

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
