Terrible thread.

I think since he is the latest player to go it looks like we might try to get Lance.

They were never going to clear him I don't think until they found out Lance is out from the Blues.

I cant believe we got rid of him. He always found form then do a Whelan.

He's a skinny 26yo with poor skills and courage his only asset, that's why...

courageous act and not a bad player, maybe should of given him one more year.

Why? What have you missed over the past five years?

Absolute bollocks.

Agree.He was not up to AFL.

If we get lance whitnall, it would be a giant step back for the club. They say he has a good footy brain... obviously not good enough if he cant understand that you need to be fit to play the game.

he was always a depth player - unable to establish himself as a senior footballer.

he played the final six games of the year and beat westhoff and kennedy - both players with years and pre-seasons ahead of them.

was a good servant of the footy club and also of the alliance with sandringham..

from the hills of Belgrave where he played with the brothers, he achieved something a hell of a lot of other people would like to say they did - play AFL footy!!

Very true. Something that's probably forgotten at times when supporters are writing players off as duds.

It is sad to see him go - the poor guy seemed to get injured as soon as he began to get hopes up. I dunno, I would've given him one more year.

But it's not a decision I'm going to agonise about - he was right on the line of keep-or-delist for a very long time.

Best wishes to him, and not only does he get to say he played AFL, but he can also say that he would've had a much better career except he was cruelled by injury.

And he earnt people's respect.

Again the same old guys with the same old comments that prolly never understand the game let alone run out on a footy field

but then again Yze is as hard and tuff as they come ehh :blink:

I think you'll find the guys on this thread that are supporting the clubs decision to delist Ferguson:

a) respect the courage Ferguson showed on the football field;

B) thank Ferguson for his efforts over the past 5 years;

AND

c) condemn Yze for his less than convincing efforts over the past couple of seasons.

There are better ways of doing it...Some just show there true colours

Certainly couldn't question the courage of Fergs!

Was knocked around a fair bit with injuries too, with a couple of shoulder recos, and also being cleaned up by Sylvia didn't help him.

I recall a standout game he had against the Bombers at the start of 2005 where he would have been close to BOG.

Could easily have been given one more year, but not surprised he wasn't.

Hope he gets picked up by another club.

Good luck for the future Fergs, and thanks for giving the MFC your best!

    There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

    Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
