Sydney are apparently concerned with their salary cap and Jude is either going to the draft if another team doesnt offer something for him - according to the news Melbourne is very interested.

What news?

I didnt see it and I watched 7, 9 and 10

I would do cartwheels if we got Bolotn for free in the PSD

Sydney are looking for defenders. Maybe we could offload Carroll...seeing as i'm sure we shouldn't trade Miller cos i reckon Cream has big plans to transform that man.

Carroll should go....his efforts for a rookie have been good in some games...but this year, has been shown up big time.if u ask a lot of people that arent melbourne upporters...they reckon carroll is [censored]...its an in club thing that we regard him higher than what hes worth/seen as

We shouldnt give up pick 21..seeing as we have 3 picks now insider the first two rounds....4, 14 and 21

CAC wont trade picks anyway

Carrol for Bolton?? yeah, I would take that in a FLASH!

Carlton and the tigers would snare him in the PSD before we would even get a sniff.

If we can get bolton for free, I would be over the moon!

If Miller for pick 11 and bolton came up, would we take it (oooooh hell yes!)

I'd be happy with just the Miller for pick 11 bit. We might have to throw in our 4th rounder though to get it over the line :P

I would like to see what talent there was uncontracted before I make an assessment of Bolton ie. whether there is something better out there or whether there is only 2 things better out there.

If not, then yeah, he would be a good role model for the younger blokes as someone who got the most out of himself. And he was also fortunate enough to be apart of the hardest working midfield groups I have ever seen.

They didn't have the talent of the lions, or the Eagles (far from it in fact) but they had the commitment.

That's the C-word when it comes to Dees players.

Apropos.......

Swans ask good price for stars

SWANS coach Paul Roos last night remained adamant the club would not be giving away any premiership heroes after a fruitless day at AFL trade week.

Roos admitted that midfielder Jude Bolton and small forwards Amon Buchanan and Adam Schneider were more than likely to stay at Sydney despite their names being floated by the club during trade talks.

"Things have been blown out of proportion a little bit with them (Bolton, Buchanan and Schneider)," Roos said.

"I'm almost certain nothing is going to happen with them (in trade week). We are not going to give any of them away for nothing, that's for sure."

The Swans are looking to free up cap room. The dempster/Schnider deal was a BARGAIN. I think Bolton would go for a similar price.

I think the dees will sit it out, and just try and move Carroll.

Miller just signed for 2 years, he is staying put.

The main thing is would be trade for a 27 yr old after we just traded one, psd we would take him but he wont go to the psd and if he did we have pick 3, no chance.

ahh but they arent exactly apples and apples !! :) you know what to epect from Bolton !!

I think we still need to acquire a ready made backman. Will prove difficult given they are in short supply, however hopefully the final hours of trade or the PSD bear fruit.

Carroll, Fergie, and dare I say Miller and Holland down back hardly inspire confidence.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
