To be honest, this GF is just about impossible to pick....

I will stick with Geelong, by 14 points, but would not be surprised if Port sneak home....

Norm Smith medal is a given!!

G. Ablett will be out to prove to the rest of the country that he is in fact better than Bartel in the big games.... Put your house on Gary to get the Norm Smith!!!

Premiership-winning sides play like there is 36 of them in the Grand Final. They play so much like a team that the full back is influenced by the full forward, the ruckman is influenced by the wingman, the centre half back influenced by the forward pocket etc etc

Port Adelaide have Premiership-worthy players like the Cornes and Burgoyne brothers, Pearce, Rodan, Motlop, Thurstans, Lade, Cassisi but as Port Adelaide in the big time, they seem to go missing.

Everyone in that Geelong line-up plays about 3 different roles, if not more.

They are a great example of what Melbourne needs to do in 2008. Multi-tasking and loads of discipline.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
