Ok then...

I don't think I've ever met a Melbourne supporter who had such strong negative feelings about Robbo!

Maybe they know you'd hurt them if they said anything negative about Robbo to you!

No but seriously, I know many people who feel the same way that I do and as terrible as I probably sound for paying out a player who has this and that going for him and has been a loyal servant to the club, I can't help it.

Sorry.

Don't you understand? He is the Melbourne Football Club

LOL, funny how 'mr. MFC' pretty much threw the MFC offer of 2 years (a very reasonable offer for him) back in their face. He should realise that if Jones is offered and accepted a 2-year deal, he should really be on a 1/2 year, performance based contract.

Selfish on the field, and now showing that he's selfish off it. I have no time for those types of players

It's just business. He's looking on the business side of things. He knows where he stands with his knees and age and he wants to be around for a bit longer. Lets be honest here; if he agrees to 2 years with Melbourne, it will be his last 2 years here.

Actually.

Of Melbourne supporters I talk to on a daily basis. Being Dad, Brother, Auntie, 2 mates, a girl I know and 2 blokes at work.

Only my auntie likes him, the rest despise.

That's the whole point.

I loved watching him take the one ''speccie' a game, but it doesn't win you finals, and is selfish in the extreme. There is no value in this approach to play.

Robbo had grossly over-estimated his value, and this will end in tears.

My dad does not like him due to the flying early, falling over and watching the ball run out, would rather not lose him but if we give him 3 years i will spew!

I think your dad and my dad could know eachother ;) !!!

I've never heard anyone complain about Robbo's species, but it adds a little extra. He has that ability and adds a bit of worth to him. He isn't good enough to put bums on sits though, unfortuantly, and his style of play and physical appearence matches the bulldogs.

Its not the speccies, but pretty much every markign contest he goes to ground, never holds his feet and if he does not mark it, his opponent runs it out, hence why clement always spanked him.

Yeah, but when he took them, they were always something special

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
