GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

Tigers players are doing really well stepping around us and then if tackled....shaking them.

Latrelle needs to get busy like Kozzie just did.

We so needed that.

Time to pile on three more asap.

Far out Koz is just ridiculous. A rare joy tonight in what has otherwise been a bit of a sloppy slog. Just worried for Culley hope he is ok

The pressure is there, the tigers up and about.

Like Essendon loss, we are horrible under pressure, turn over central, with non stop skill errors.

Intensity is gone and instead of the fast gameplay they played last week, we are back to long bombs into the 50.

Bloody tough game to watch.

Kade Chandler is a legit A-grader now.

chandler i50 delivery been very good

max looks cooked tonight, heath is the better match up for balta anyways

It's a long match. Max's endurance is his strength - he'll end up in the top 10 players on the ground by the final siren.

Short break, boys look very slow

Tigers same break (ok, 2 hours more)

We just need more of this. 10 minutes of pure pressure and speed. We get them!

Chandler is a champion.

Fast, elusive and accurate disposal always.

Two more before half time.

Chin has just gone straight into the stratosphere with his development. So good to watch. Back to back goals good let’s try a few more before HT

Did Garry Lyon just say that Langford was in his “third or fourth” season?

Filthy bugger into Max off the ball. Rarely get a free

We can look rubbish and brilliant within 10 seconds. So frustrating. Our best is so so good.

Just heard Culley done for the day - hopefully not worse but Sunday bad

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
