Am I unable to buy an MCC visitor ticket for my daughter because GA is sold out or because I need to wait for them to update details?

No way MCC visitors tickets will be sold out.

Me and my son are Pumped for tonight, the traffic on the way in from Gippsland is my only concern. The only speeding will be the Dees on the G. Let’s hope they continue to be brave.

My thoughts exactly. My 14-year-old son said it would be such a Melbourne thing to do

All I know is if we lose tonight we can pencil in beating Sydney. That’s how it works right???

Yes that’s precisely what the psych person at our club is reinforcing

What is this Friday night footy of which you speak? Footy in the dark? What a foreign concept!

Folks have been saying this is our only Friday night gig this season, but they need to add “thus far” to that.

This is the solitary good thing about the floating fixture, ie. we may be given more prime time slots in the second half of the season.

Sure, it makes planning ahead and booking flights etc. difficult but if it means getting to shine on the big stage it’s a big bunch of YAY from me!

I see we have Geelong in round 20 at the MCG. I'd say we'll be battling with Adelaide V Collingwood for the coveted Friday night game that weekend.

I must be in the minority, but I actually prefer daytime games, and I think our supporter base does too. The night games may be coveted for TV ratings, but we had plenty of nights a couple of seasons back, and unless you are winning and playing big Vic clubs, they feel dead.

I wouldn’t be surprised. It's a category A game.

We buy reserve seats weeks out.

In today's The Age, in the Stats that Matter which you can find with each teams' selections it says, "It (Melbourne) has scored over 100 points in all four wins - with 202 points scored in these matches - ranked third". Can anyone explain what that means?

Give me day games every week. Night games are for tv for mine, although I’m going tonight. Won’t get home till close to 2am.

Although there is nothing to indicate that on the MCC website... So I dunno.

Speaking of the MCC, I sincerely hope the scarf waving from last week is a thing now, as well as the noise coming from that area. We could see and hear them and it was spectacular. I hope it wasn’t just because of the “Irish” music playing after goals.

Thanks! Turns out it was a Ticketek error.

Honestly, if you were a malicious person and wanted to create the worst, most frustrating ticketing system possible, you couldn't do a better job than the duopoly. It's stunningly bad. And you pay for the privilege of their dripping incompetence.

That’s how I feel paying tax

General admission locations for those wanting to know are on MCG website and have put a photo below too. Go dees

That's definitely fair. Many of our supporter base prefer day games including myself. Nothing beats a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at the MCG.

Having said that, one Friday night home game at the MCG (against potentially Geelong) surely wouldn't be an imposition on the supporter base and would be recognition from the AFL that we're a team that neutrals would like to watch on TV, and us supporters should be proud of that.

Refused to add a seat to my GA for away games. Does anyone know GA seating areas for this formerly fully ticketed game - obviously the tiges supporters aren't out in the droves lime when they're good.

I think pretty much all of level 4 is GA for tonight, Sideshow. I'll be sitting up there in the Ponsford as I did include away games in Melbourne on my tridents membership. You should be able to go online and purchase a GA ticket for the game.

If we are fair dinkum we win this 40+.

We kick around 110-120.

We keep the Tigs to around 55-65.

Thanks

I found it after a few clicks but only with your help

This is a really good opportunity for us to properly put an opponent to the sword with our game style.

These close shoot-outs have been so much fun but realistically it shouldn't happen against a side like Richmond.

Define “Fun”

Almost going into cardiac arrest isn’t what I call fun! 😅

As a chillie lover, it's fun in the same way that eating a flaming spicy meal is fun.

Painful at the time but I just can't help myself.

Hi

I used to order a physical card so I could just scan and enter. (AFL members)

No physical card this year but I'm thinking of coming tonight.

How do I just scan in without buying a ticket via Ticketek which is where the AFL app keeps taking me?

Many thanks

I've logged into things all over the world including the Indian e visa (what fun) but I admit defeat on this one.

Open app
Top right click on three dots
Click on AFL membership
Sign in if needed
Should be on the "My Events" page
Click on our game, then view tickets, then add to wallet.

I'm also an AFL member but opted in for a physical card as I didnt want to be messing around on my phone each game

I thought King addressed this pretty well in his press conference. It is what it is and the efforts of you Ghosty, the Demon army and those supporters who get to every game are to be admired and appreciated. Sunday 3.00 has some attractions as Kingy said and may even make it easier for me from the country 4 hour trip on train or road to attend

My mates who I normally go with said that the atmosphere and crowd noise last week was fantastic and it even translated to the screen with the waving of the scarves, jigs etc.

Apparently this game was one of the highest rating and that could be a good thing and I note that again our crowd sizes relative to our member numbers are amongst the highest in the league so well done.
