One player who is becoming very valuable with a huge improvement in his output this season is Harry Sharp. he has shown himself to be very nippy around the ground . He has great speed and has great endurance. A very useful combination for AFL football. I was reading that he was an elite steeplechaser in his track and field days. This event being a very tough one means that he has a very big tank. His last quarters have shown this. Well done Harry. Keep up the good work and you will become a regular this season.

I think you are right DemonWA, Harry has been celebrated throughout the preseason as being the preeminent runner in the group, he has won everything, now the coaching group are guiding him to play to his strengths, he just keeps getting involved in the chains and popping up all over the ground and the boys are now utilising him more.

Suits the sling shot style

For a guy who isn't the best decision maker further up the ground in congestion, he has excellent goal sense and is a great finisher when he breaks free into open space

Presumavly he ran 60m and zagged of his opponent at the right moment to be in position for it.

Sharp has stepped up really well to be solid AFL grade at a time when our depth could have been horrifically exposed.

The forwards are constantly moving now and HFFs are up and down all day. He is receiving the ball often in a wing to half forward position while running at pace. The gane style plays to his strengths and he is clearly loving it.

A clean slate can do the world of good.

King is very good at giving players roles that really suit their strengths and backing them in.

Happy to put my hand up as a doubter. He's taken some big strides forward. But in the interest of full disclosure I'm not sold on him being a long term player just yet.

Yep, things are really shaping up in this department.

I've viewed 2026 as a year to bed down the game plan, draft another two or three elite talents (potentially trading future picks) and playing a game style that attracts FAs and other trade targets for 2027 and 2028.

So far so good. We'd be a very appealing prospect if we continue on our current trajectory. Need to get some bigger crowds as the year goes on too.

Before the start of this year i had confidently written this bloke completly off, i dont usually do so unless i am fairly sure ie : newton, morton, strauss. Cook, toumpas, fulletron, brown ect and i was sure he was a dud and when i found out he had been given a 3 year deal i was gobsmacked and voiced my opinion on here so much so i feel completly embarrassed just ( so far) how wrong i was , love his run, speed, goal sence, attack on ball, flair, and buy in to the team , really hope it continues, and i hope a few players can replacte him and realize things can turn around, one player i can think of and really needs to guick is Bailey Laurie, similar age and height , hope he can
