NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Carlton fans deserve everything they get. The way those d*ckheads celebrated winning meaningless pre season matches worth ZERO points was embarassing. The best feeling is seeing all hope dissolve right in front of their very eyes after just 1 match.

Richmond. Complete the job next week!

12.3 to the Swans that quarter, must be close to the record.

And we'll finish higher than Carlton.

A quadruple bang, bang, bang. That was fun.

Goodwin’s inspiring work on the bench turned that game around big time!

He must be thinking, great payout, new contract, in Sydney ready made fwd Curnow , life’s great

Not often you see a teams’ season done even before round 1

lol

the Blues are [censored]. Zero scoring power

Blues dominated for 60 minutes

Swans turn up for 10 mins and the Blues are done. All they do is try to pick fights off the ball

It’s great, isn’t it?

You always can count on Carlton sh1ting the bed.

And Walsh just got paid more than Curnow was ever getting… make sense of that.

No wonder he’s got a bad back. Can’t be good for posture carrying around all that cash

Unless the Blues have another large-bodied forward to come in, they are in for some serious pain this year. Their forward line looks so meek, and lacks serious talent.

Their midfield is also being shown up. The SCG is the one ground in the league where you can stifle a run-on of goals, but the defensive works of the mids is putrid. The Swans are waltzing through the middle and half forward.

When do you reckon they’ll get rid of Voss?

Seemed cruel to not sack him in the off season. They will clearly not challenge this year.

Round 8 I reckon

Hoping they drag it out all season… a couple of false dawns, floggings, … the whole saga.

Why should we suffer alone?

❤️🤪💙

I reckon only a few days ago after Carlton had their second pre-season game they were calling in on SEN saying how good they’ll be etc.

Love it.

It’s good to see the Swans are building their season on Kingy’s run and gun style……

Walsh gets meaningless possesion after possesion, Cripps was embarrassing!

How would Jordan & Grundy be feeling with Goodwin

Very happy you’d imagine

I’d stop watching when Carlton was about 2-3 goals up early in the 3rd qtr.

I guess things really changed escalated from there

Cripps will still get 3 Brownlow votes

How do you think they’d feel? Serious question. My guess is it’s a non-issue for them, but if asked to answer the question they’d likely say they’re perfectly fine having Goody onboard. They’re mature professional athletes, not disgruntled Demons fans who have had it in for Goody for a long time and who continue to project their own feelings about Goody by posing questions like yours.

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
