i dont like that. there is still a couple of hours before the game. and there is always the pre game warm up. someone should be kept in reserve.

Quarter time: Zebras lead 3.4.22 to 1.3.9

Goals: Summers 2 Holland 1.

Crowe, Poyas and Summers dominating. Lynden Dunn has taken some good marks. Stronger bodies of the Zebras are on top of the Seagulls.

Willaimstown's quarter, their defence got on top after Sautner missed two early chances. Pickett started to get a bit of the ball.

Paterakis again named in the best. I don't know a lot about him but I like what I'm hearing. From those who've seen him play for the Zebs, is he worth a chance down the track?

Why the hell was he dropped in the first place. Brown played at HFF and Dunn in the Magoos WTF! I thought the rest of the year was about developing youth.... did I miss something in the last game because Dunny to me put his head over the ball and won a lot of it... FFS I'm well and truly over this year.!

Damn straight.

We have so many senior players not pulling their weight, who can't kick, are not accountable for their opponent and show incredibly poor leadership, and yet they get a game ahead of someone like Dunn who has done everything that has been asked of him this year, including learning a new position.

I expected Neita to pull out before the game, and Dunn to play in his place.

I'm furious that they dropped him. Absolutely rubbish decision.

I am convinced we are tanking games now. Surely we can't have been so much worse than when we took on Kangas earlier and only lost by 1 point. Sure we had a lot of changes since then but FFS only a handfull of players seemed interested in actually playing.

We were every bit as inept the first time against the Roos. What made the scoreboard look better was a 15 minute purple patch when we played like last year and piled on 7 goals.

Both times against the Roos this year we have played lazy, sloppy, inept footy. I suspect a number of senior players hve decided to retire at seasons end, and have mentally left the building.

Cheers

Amen to that Graz.......

And just how does this particular selection fit into our play the kiddies, get them some game time, and see what they can do philosophy?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
