How's latrell looking?

Dymanic.

Disposal has brought his game down a touch but he looks so lively in traffic. He and Kozzy broke the game apart in that third quarter.

Should probably have three goals to his name

Nice goal Jack. Trac & clarrie would have botched that big time & would either had missed or not made thr distance.

Beautiful Langford. This is exciting if this is a preview of kings game plan.

Steele and Langford go BANG BANG!

Margin now at 65 points and alarm bells are sounding for North.

Not wishing to sound like a typical Melbourne supporter but who is 44 & why are they wearing a mask?

long range goal kicking excellent this quarter

I’ve watched a few of these games and most have had a very good quality image (although a poor jerky feed), but why is it that we seem to have got the work experience kid operating the camera (or is it his phone?). I’ve found it very hard to watch.

I bloody hate Kayo; recently signed up and have to watch on my phone as it’s not recognising the subscription on the TV. Have tried everything.

I struggle with this all the time. Best bet is to log into your web browser your phone (not the kayo app) and then connect to the app on your tv

latrelle should have had a pop at goal there.

Is lever playing?

Yes.

Been very good in defence.

Really enjoying the unselfish play by the forwards, constantly looking inboard for players in better positions.

Not a great day for the house of Windsor

Very good chook you have started 2026 in fine form.

Is it to early to get excited about jack steele & just maybe a recruit from another team may actually pay off?

Steele slots his second.

X.Taylor is on the ground and looks good so far. Lovely kick from defence.

Next test: Can they sustain the pace through a full(ish) game?

Kentfield should surely get a game this year, you'd think..

Both Kentfield and Moose going great guns it seems ( not watching )

Moose is very handy in the centre and has been impressive. It is comical that the Saints let Steele go for bugger all. He will be a star for us.

The Dogs moved off Macrae for nothing, that pushed Steele out and he had no value. We take him on to move out Clarry. Every club got what they needed.

Just the life cycle of the inside mid.

windsor delivery needs to improve. missed jvr there under no pressure

St Kilda desperately need his salary space.

Positive vibes in a game day thread.

Tell me it’s pre-season without telling me it’s pre-season…

But I love to see it.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
