The 2025 AFL Draft Thread

Featured Replies

Do we just have the one list spot left for Kalani or can we go again and take another selection in addition to Kalani?

Our next picks are listed as 56 and 58. Are we done for the night? Or do we package them up to another club for something in next year's draft?

We'll only select Kalani tonight if he's bid on by another club.

Otherwise we'll take him in the rookie draft I think.

All prelim teams were stacked with gun small forwards. It's the biggest hole on our list.

Matthews plus Pickett puts pressure on Mentha, Henderson, McAdam, even Chandler.

Swans get Phillipou … he’s a steal !!!

Or so he says!

Greeves and HH seem to have slid a fair bit,

Not that it deserves too much stock in it but I saw a phantom draft by the true footy podcast that had us taking HH potentially at 12.

I wonder who will attempt to remodel themselves as a back pocket ala nev Jetta

Brisbane snag Koby Evans, that’s why they are the best, they’ll fix his injuries. Eagles mad to not match.

Greeves and HH Available

If they are still there at our Pick 56 Do we go for one?

we have space if we want.

we have 36 main List
4 Rookie
2 B Rookie
for a total of 42/44 spots filled

we can have

36 main list/6 Rookie
37 main list/5 Rookie
38 main list/4 Rookie

So we go 37/5 And get Greeves or HH, and White on the rookie list (assuming no one places a bid on White) ???

2 small forwards and a medium interceptions defender. This year's picks boggle the mind. We must have extreme faith in our tall forward mix in Kentfield, JVR and Jeffo putting it together over the next couple of years as well as whats left of our midfield.

It says a lot about the overall draft class in 2025 and how JT and co viewed it. Pick 12 is pretty early to be going for mature age players and there probably weren't many standing out but if there was a year to reach this was probably it.

I'm not all that convinced that we would have selected Farrow if available.

If 19yo is mature age, I must be dead

Can I just say Steven King looks like he's having a great time in there. He's got a smile on his face & enjoying a laugh.
