It's truly bizarre how you write off some of our young developing talent so flippantly whilst also refusing to acknowledge any of your boy Jeffo's shortcomings.

You're playing some kind of weird long game where if Jefferson some how makes it and becomes a player, you can claim you're some kind of talent scouting savant and you saw things the whole time that nobody else did.

It's a bold low percentage play, but I see you.. 😂

The smart move with 8 is to trade it with Carlton for 9 and a 2027 second and a promise of no bid on Dean at 7.

Trading up for sure fire elite talent, all for it if we can, but not sure it exists outside maybe Duursma and very maybe Robey.

This crop really that thin DS? Look I know nothing about this years draft but it’s definitely the quietest build up to one that I can remember in years!

Any phantom drafts out yet?

Keep both picks. Please.

Sure, but these are still kids, and there's a lot of water to go under the bridge. Lachie Neale was taken pick 58.

Even in a weak draft there will be 200 gamers.

Would be surprised if Lindsay isn’t right in the frame for one of these picks. Dovaston probably a reach at 8 (I know it becomes 12) but I think as it stands those two would be my preference.

Again it’s not the greatest draft we’ve ever seen but hopefully we can snag a couple.

I understand Wiki is not a solid resource, but it was a second round selection. Demonwiki says the same,

I think you are right. He was the first pick in the second round. Bowey was a pick before him.

Some said a while ago we were interested in Marsh. He could go around pick 7 or 8.

Let’s hope we draft Sullivan Robey, Pickett. I suspect you’ll learn to love again when you see him play

As it stands, our current picks aren’t really in the market for either of these players

7, 8, 37 to

WC for

1, 13, 34, 41?

I'd do that in a second, but WC would be mad to consider it. Remove 13 from the mix and it's closer to doable. Still doubtful given what they would be giving up.

Incorrect, Laurie was a first round pick, the first selection of the second round was Nathan O'driscoll

What about

7, 8 and the suns future first

For

2 and 13 from the eagles?

Yeah you are right it was a long first round.

The problem with this is that Duff-Tytler is going to be a star, I would doubt they would want to trade that pick. Richmond have been talked about wanting to trade picks 3 and 4 because of it's eveness from 3 to 20. We could take pick 3 which we will take Robey and Richmond will have 4, 7 and 8.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
