24&28 +trac for 7+8 sure is a head turner

30yo Trac for 2 high draft picks is a fair/good deal. We get millions off our salary cap

Couldn't give a rats about pick 24 which will become 32 in a weak draft

Where do we think Pickett will go?

Nah Blues have enough young talent coming through. They still have Jagga Smith coming on next year who is an absolute jet, Harry Dean in this year's draft who i have watched come through the Murray Busgrangers and then Cody Walker next year who could have easily been a top 3 prospect in this year's draft. Walker is Will Ashcroft/Nick Daicos in terms of being immensely talented.

They'll be fine.

Their only player under 25 on their list that is above decent is Jagga Smith who should be a gun. Even with those 2 I wasn't aware of, they are in for a world of hurt. Cripps done, Curnow left.

The cliff is coming fast. I'd offload any senior players with currency now if I was them. Keep Walsh and one/two others

Riley Beveridge saying its looking like Petracca, Pick 24 and Pick 28 for pick 7 & 8 and a bunch of Pick swaps.

Boy oh boy.. both picks in the 20's thrown in now?

What the [censored]?

There better be a future first rounder coming back or this makes no sense

🤣 his cousin in the draft.

haha

sorry I've got no idea!

Hold fire! We may give up pick twenty-four and twenty-eight and get pick fifteen in return

The media are not dictating anything. Trac's team are leaking what is happening to Tom Morris and he is tweeting it

You actually think Morris is influencing the deal in any way?

Negative id guess he is being fed info from GC and then using their position as a fact and coming out and saying how great an offer it is.

I'd be wanting either GC's pick 15 or their F1 if we give up both 24 and 28.

If that's not the go, then it's a genuine head scratcher.

Smith and Walker is their midfield set for the next 10 or so years. You can easily build arohnd them which clearly is their focus.

I am a huge wrap for Charlie Dean having seen him play first hand a few time and hes rated as a top 15 prospect in this year's draft.

They will be fine.

Not necessarily. We may use pick fifteen to match bids on Kalani White

You get the sense we'd only be interested in taking two guys in this draft plus White and Sinnema.

So maybe we'd be getting their future 1st back (which wouldnt be too different to those mid 20's picks this year that they need for the academy picks)?

I'm pretty sure we'll only need a late pick for Kalani.

He might not be a top 50 prospect in this year's draft, let alone top 15. I don't see teams calling his name that early.

I assume you're joking. White isn't rated in the top 50 for this draft

Someone may bid on White to force us to burn a first or second rounder

Does anyone actually do that to other clubs? Seems quite petty and mean spirited.

If the bid is too high we do not have to match.

Well we have to use a second rounder at the minimum to match the bid. Fifteen may be the only pick we have left to match bids

No, off the top of my head this hasn't happened. It is also a massive risk to the bidding club that another club wouldn't match it and they'll burn a pick.

Like many things in the AFL landscape with reference to player movement etc, it's self-governing. It won't happen and in fact, the current changes are likely to make it even more self-regulating given you can now only match a bit with two picks, plus discount being reduced to 10%.

If a player is projected and ranked to go at Pick 60, no club would match a first round bid and that leaves the bidder to burn a draft selection.

Yes clubs have done this in the past. Whether it happens with Kalani White who knows.

@dazzledavey36 can you please stop telling me they will be fine, I much prefer living in a world knowing and pretending both Carlton and Essendon will be utter trash.

You have to be kidding me! Sick to death of Lamb treating picks in the 20s like expired coupons. No wonder we have no depth.
