Some weird views and hatred on here. He rightfully called out our poor culture and poor standards. I hold no grudge towards him. He’s still a gun.

People here want to downplay him to make themselves feel better. Fact is he was our best player until he went down injured halfway through 2024. He was still amongst the top few players in the league at that point, and had been for years. Anyone claiming otherwise is outright lying. Last year was not his best as he returned from a very serious injury. It’s his only season this decade that hasn’t been elite. Even still, he was second in our BnF. It’s not surprising to see him fitter, healthier, and dominating like the star he is.

Even knowing all that, he’s 30 years old, so what we got for him was good compensation. Multiple first rounders helps us get more high end talent in to drive our rebuild.

What has the AFL created with these Northern clubs?

Way to many allowances gifted for absolute peanuts.

Going back to Trac, he was playing for time at Melbourne.

No interest in putting his body on the line in 2025.

Had the club by the balls, threatened legal action against the club until a suitable trade was found.

Once a club was found and he was satisfied he didn't pursue action.

All about him.

Now he wants to play like a superstar.

Makes me sick!

Have you watched tonight’s game & wondered that all of a sudden Trac is back to 2021 form . He was so not invested in our club the last couple of years & to me that was letting down his teammates & fans. You can blame the club ..the coach etc but fans & teammates deserve your best . The bolded bit is IMO so true.

Trac’s a star. It may well be the case that he could not have reached this level with us, but with Clarry, May and Goodwin gone, and King instilling a new mood at the club, I’ll always reflect and wonder what could have been had we been able to convince him to buy back into the club.

He was checked out though, and in the circumstances we cashed in as well, if not better, than we could have expected.

You make it seem like his departure was some well planned decision, with the future in mind. The MFC had no choice but to let him go as his relationship with Club had so deteriorated to a point where his continuation at the Club was untenable.

I have no doubt if there was any chance of him continuing at the Club , they would have retained him. They would have kept him till retirement.

All the Club can do is make the best of a bad situation. Which I’m hopeful they’ll do this year under King.

Tonight he’s playing as well as any player in the Competition. Players like that are very rare to find.

A good performance at a new club does not mean he would have put in the same performance if he stayed - Petracca was done with us.

Your opinion. Sure.

He was 100 votes short in the BF, and let’s be honest, the Brownlow votes are clearly bogus, with common errors. Getting Brownlow votes can be earned and not earned and you still get them.

Fact is, you still can have good out put and not put in 100%.

He had more in him. But as a club, we didn’t get it out of him. That’s on us and him. Both to blame there.
