It’s probably only worth a future 3rd after this trade period.

Too soon?

You haven’t exactly filled us with confidence regarding the potential of the father son and daughter selections

You’re just playing us

Next year you’ll come out and ask for a trade to Hawkland

Expect us to pay half the salary as well no doubt!

Then why say we would walk him back, it’s a fresh start under King and the coach has his back.

At some point, the talk has to stop and the action has to start. I believe in King and I believe in Guerra.

Lots of things are said during the silly season.

My personal belief/read is that the relationship between a Trac and the club is irreparable. I know there is a contract I just don’t believe that when push comes to shove we will hold him to it and we will make the deal for picks to get it done.

Will be rapt if by some miracle the BH trade happens. I will even be open to holding Trac to the contract and seeing him rock up to training on Day 1 but I’m positive that in 12 months will be here again with him.

We’ll definitely know this time tomorrow.

Whatever happens I’m Team First and we move on. I’ll be at the G Round 1 unless they match us up with GWS at Engie for the Clarry Clash.

Too soon?

I think it’s safe to summarise the Tracc deal as no one on here knows anything and we are all waiting to see what eventuates.

Why did they bring his manager on to trade radio?

There’s nothing as sexy about A 21 YO wanting to come to Melbourne as their is Essendon’s captain wanting to go their arch rival or Carlton’s two time Coleman medallist happy to play basically anywhere but Carlton.

There isn’t any intel until GC relent. There are reasons that they could, should and would. To that end, the deal is live until it isn’t whether or not you think it’s high chance or not.

They brought him on to pretty much knock it on the head which he pretty much did.

Whilst his manager acknowledged that he desperately wants to get home, even he admitted that it was going to incredibly difficult this year due to GC hard stance.

Revisit in 12 months time perhaps, but it ain't happening this year.

Photo on the phone looks like it could be this one with Connor Budarick who was just traded to the Western Bulldogs.

Off to the Dogs ….

Geez Andy. I struggled to even see a phone in that pic, even after you said there was a phone. It was Where’s Wally but way harder.

Of course King is going to say that in front of camera.. oldest trick in the book.

If we were absolute resolute in Trac staying then we wouldn't be having ongoing discussions such as today's catch up about negotiating what a deal looks like.

So far, the starting point is us getting pick 7 & 8 which clearly that interest us, its now about thrashing out what the rest looks like.

His messaging on Clayton in front of the camera was entirely different though?

Perhaps you are right. Most likely you are. I don’t want you to be. I want to see a strong and ruthless Melbourne.

I’m not giving up, and it’s not because of walking Trac but because there’s a human element to the situation with Bailey which I believe Gold Coast will at least consider resolving.

Unless there's a suitcase of 3 park superpasses, I'd guess it's the salary cap that says no?

I don’t know about that… we’d be paying a substantial portion of Trac’s contract as would the Pies, assuming he’s still contracted (I’ve no clue), be paying fair slice of JdG’s; not to mention that they’ve moved on Flanders and others, who would clear a fair amount of cap space.

TREAT

Transfer Request Expressed and Active Talks

Trade Request Escalated After Tension

Transfer Rumours Escalating Amid Tensions

Trying Really Eagerly to Exit Team

Trade Rumours Erupt, Agent Talking

The fourth acronym is TREET.

Do better Andy!

All that was was confirmation that he would like to come but there’s zero chance

Agree on May, last minute, North is the right idea but it’ll be Richmond or Dogs.

For Oliver, better to look away. That will be an ugly deal that will be spoken in mumbles that we’ll never decipher.

Trac will be the deal that stuns. Humphrey will get done. And the picks will favour us dramatically too.

Great for GC, they will make a show of their commitment to Trac and the huge get that he is, and now he better earn it. But in reality they’ll be giving away a player that’s leaving and a pick they wouldn’t use anyway.

For us, we get a clean slate and a young gun that we can pin high hopes. With a high draft pick for Taylor with a target.

Humphrey isn’t happening

GC are resolute. Melbourne have accepted it. Would be awfully embarrassing now for them

Don't say that.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
