An even more Melbourne thing to happen would be for us to convince Bailey to request a trade home and he does that only for us to get trumped at the death by Hawthorn.

Stressed Too Much GIF by NewQuest

That thought has definitely crossed my mind too.

I'd way rather BH stays at GC then end up at Hawthorn.

I've been trying to get swept up in Humphrey land, so I can avoid thinking about Clarry in orange and crying.

Oh my God! We've lost Clarry!

That did make me sick for the 2 or so days it was circulating. Thank [censored] it’s the orange team, at least I get to watch them and cheer on him Jesse and Toby 🥲

Just our luck that we are dealing with a kid who has the world's most useless manager, and is not in fact managed by the likes of Paul Connors

Well it could be worse - he could be managed by Julian P!

1000000000% this.

The Petracca trade to GC is one of the biggest moves this offseason.

IF THERE WAS EVEN THE INKLING OF BAILEY HUMPHREY SACKING HIS MANAGER OVER NOT DOING ENOUGH TO FACILITATE A TRADE HOME AS PART OF THE TRAC DEAL THEN THE MEDIA WOULD BE ALL OVER IT.

Yet there is radio silence.

I absolutely get that we all want these rumours to be true and we all thrive for any skerrit of intel thrown our way during trade period but I fear we are all being hoodwinked by random posters on here with absolutely zero credits in the bank.

Will gladly eat humble pie if wrong but it is so unfair that people on here are being taken for a ride when there is absolutely no evidence of these wild rumours being talked about in the media.

what about the last minute buddy to swans switcheroo when media convinced he was sewn up at gws (with afl cheering)

there are precedents

Surely if BH has asked his manager to request GC for a trade behind the scenes then his manager has relayed that. All GC are doing is holding their player to their contract. That isn't the manager's fault. Remember we are wanting GC to do what we are angry at Trac for doing. And we are angry at GC for trying to get the best deal here like we want the Demons to do.

If the needle is to be moved I think the only play is for BH to come out and publicly plead his case.

I'm not convinced though that there is any real substance to any of these whispers that we are hearing on here as none of that is being played out in the media.

If there was ANY substance or even a HINT that BH was on the verge of firing his manager over this even the likes of Morris (with his imaginery Pro-Trac agenda that some one here think he has) would be screaming about this on Trade Radio.

That would be a HUGE story and yet there is nothing in the media about this.

I'm calling BS.

Unless the anti Melbourne Media conspiracy (AMMC) is real and nobody wants to be seen spreading any positive news about MFC.

By far the most MFC thing to do would be to get an agreement in place but send the fax too late thus miss out on trading for Humphrey. (That happened 20-odd years ago from memory)

The worst bit is, someone would then realise there’s this thing called email and so they quickly put together the email and send it to AFL house. Only to realise at 7:31pm that the MFC email only sends emails during the hours of 9am-5:30pm to protect their employees from themselves.

Given the AFL now likes the trade deadline to happen in person at Marvel with all the cameras rolling, they likely save us from ourselves in this situation.

I think they've also said now the agreement just needs to be in place and the AFL notified, with formal lodgements allowed post the deadline at 7.30.

I thought it was my wit and excellent analysis of the game

But I'll take what I can get

So Humphrey's going to sack his manager and hire Paul Connors at the last second to force GC into a trade. And no one in the media has got an inkling of this yet with two and a half days remaining in the trade period? Hmmm.

Is there a 'What would Mike Sheahan do?' meme?

Seriously, I wonder what he does think?

It’s just that your work in this area is of such a high level.

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a new leader. 8 GiF post. Sheet GIF

Wait until Trac is traded for picks 15 and 44 to Gold Coast or Humphrey drops a trade request

I'll drop a GIF post so wild, so unhinged, so large, it'll probably crash the Demonland server and Andy will ban me

If we are going to accept picks here the delaying might cost us a potential trade with those picks.

Bailey has said that he needs more gifs or he can't nominate us as his destination.

8am this morning at Demon House.

One of 2 things happening here;

  1. Bailey Humphrey (little fella) has arrived at which point JT has thrown his toys out of the cot upon the realisation that he isn’t getting any new draft toys

  2. Little fella is actually the work experience kid (and not Bailey) and JT is rushing back to his laptop upon being informed that he needs to find some generational talent with picks 7 & 8 in the 2025 AFL draft.

Holy [censored]. That thought didn't even occur to me.

Honestly, I've never understood some of the vitriolic criticism some people post about other people posting about things they've "heard".

I've always taken everything posted here with a grain of salt. If we get Humphrey, then great, if we don't, I hope we try to get best possible trade we can.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
