Tom Morris? i wouldn't believe what he tells you mate

Nah not Morris,

It’s not public knowledge who he goes for.

Melbourne was one of his teams he followed and reported on regularly back in the days he use to work for afl.com so if I dropped his name you know him.

Either way the result with BH, I know I’m going to have major withdrawals from this thread family guy help GIF

If GC17 don't pull their finger out and give us BH19 then all BP5 will be cooking is big fat nothing burgers.

It's the same BBQ!!!

No matter how this ends up, I've absolutely loved the intel from DF

And if BH ends up at the Dees, I reckon a Demonland HoF should be in order, with DF an inaugural member

With two 2nd rounders coming back the other way.

Yes, and Cameron was a free agent, 3 years younger than Trac, and on quite a bit less coin. In any case, what Geelong paid (13, 15, 20), is worth less than 7 & 8, if that's what's on the table.

What ever happens Demon Forever has made this week a more enjoyable one to me just wallowing in how bad we will get skrewed the whole time.

Remember, Rebellions are built on hope.

But we are also giving picks back to GC.

Jeremy Cameron went to the ferals for 2x 1st rounders and a future 1st.

Yep and GWS gave picks back to Geelong too.

Cameron went for 13, 15 & 20 with Geelong getting two second round picks back from GWS.

So all in all not nearly as much as GC would be giving up for Petracca.

So that's trading Tracc for pick number #6, and the right to deal them the points needed for their acadamy players.

If that's the deal we get absolutely shafted and I expect to see Tracc back day one of pre-season.

Let's hope Humphrey deal is done!

I guess the theory would be we are only taking 3 picks in the draft so it ends up 6, 7 and White, but yea looks bad when u lose trac, Oliver, Judd and Spargo plus our 2nd round pick for that

Cameron OOC though, makes all the difference

Lachie Neale to Brisbane is the probably a more accurate reflection

Sure - all I’m saying is that I’m pretty sure no club has ever given up two top 10 picks for a player before, no matter what the rest of the trade looks like.

Was widely reported in the media back in June that Flanders was looking to move, and the only club mentioned in those reports was St Kilda. Someone knew.

Do you have a link?

We aren't salary dumping Christian Petracca...

Agee’s but it’s fairly clear he’s not playing with us next season.

Sure, which is why i suspect we'll accept a picks only deal rather than just walk him back in the door.

I don't think we're going to get totally shafted, we'll still get some picks we can do a bit with

So Pick 8, 24 and 36 for Oliver, Petracca and McVee.

Yeah, thrilled.

AND we get friggen "Touche Tortoise"

Apologies @Demon Forever, if Trac was pushing this BBQ meat out prior to you pushing out your intel today from the toilet today. That would have been kinda rank….

Lions paid six, 19 and 55, with 30 coming back to them. So kind of six plus a second rounder.

Though there again, Neale was only 25 at the time, very different to trading someone who'll be 30 in a few months. Also, Lions weren't being saddled with a huge salary to pay.

By COB Tuesday at the latest as they will have to work with GC tonget it done

Thanks DF.

So we can all assume that if it ain’t happened publicly by cob Tues it ain’t happening.

It’s been a fun ride so far.

If we can hold onto 24 and 28 and get 7 and 8! It’s a great result for an ageing 30yo that can’t hit targets!

It is a terrible result Dimma

...for a 29yo proven finals player (Norm Smith Medal)

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
