Katie. Former page 2 girl. Had a child with Dwight Yorke that he disowned.

Someone is going to need to keep track of whether he is following or starting to follow Hawthorn and Collingwood players. This is a full time role on Demonland. Send resumes to Jaded. Only serious applicants need apply.

Tenuous link at best

He follows the Pies and De Goey

His taste in Instagram friends is very suspect

I would reconsider this deal

it's amazing when people are so desperate to be negative that just basic logic goes out the window.

What, the logic that:

a) Petracca will be 30 next year, most of his footy is behind him. Dangerfield was 26 when he was traded to Geelong, Chris Judd was 24 when he went to Carlton.

b) Petracca is on a MASSIVE salary that the Suns will have to take on. He would be highest paid player at GC.

c) Petracca wants out

d) We want Petracca out (forget all the public posturing)

e) Petracca has nominated the Suns

f) there are no other potential suitors.

None of the above plays in our favour. Quite the reverse.

You don't walk into JB HI FI and set the price of a new TV, the seller does, you can negotiate but at some point you have to say yes or no to the asking price

It's called the AFL Trade Period for a reason. The clue is in the title. No-one is being bought or sold here.

You analogy only works if (for starters) your TV has a say in who buys it.

And…

He’s a contracted player.

The suns desperately want him hence their willingness to take on the entire contract

The suns are open to extending his offer to 5 years so they’re not worried about his age of footy quality

And they’re willing to negotiate a trade with us.

These are pretty big points that help us

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
