Gee I reckon that was a goal to north. Gool old crypto really wasn't conclusive and the ump called it a goal

The rules say there must be DEFINITE evidence to overrule the goal umpire’s call. Maybe just when it “suits the agenda”!

No wonder people suggest that the AFL might be corrupt, incompetent, or both.

Good on yze for the season he's having. Many media people said Richmond would win a game.

He's got his team above nth Melbourne & not far behind us now

Looking at the Collingwood draw, asides from Richmond, hardly any gimmes. Their top 4 hopes could literally hinge on the last round against Melbourne. If it happens, would love to deny their top 4 hopes and beat them. Just imagine being their live to witness it…

As for Gold Coast, they really only have 2 gimmes (Essendon and Richmond). The dogs have a good run and crazy to think GC could still potentially miss finals with 13 wins.

Freo good value at $3.50 v’s the Pies

A full list versus the Pies missing 7 best 22 players

Pies may have a mini slump in the lead up to finals

Saints playing some nice footy. They will towel us up next week if we’re not switched on.

Freo doing well

despite 7-1 free kicks against

Andy Brayshaw borrowing his brother’s helmet?

Are commentators now terrified to criticize Collingwood? And that includes Garry Lyon. I've just watched a Collingwood player clearly late to a marking contest, clutter into a Freo player. 50 metres was awarded and, for mine, it was a no-brainer. Garry banged on about it like it was the worst decision of the year.

Darcy Moore is a hack

I switched on, saw Daicos throw his arm in the air, flop to the ground as the ball bounced off his chest and then get a holding free against his opponent 35 metres out from goal. The bloke hardly touched him.

He went back, kicked the goal and I turned the TV off and went and watched the end of the Casey game.

The game at the AFL level is rooted.

A “push” gives Elliot an early Xmas present. I can’t watch this. It’s nauseating

How is that a free kick?? He dived forward after being caught in possession

My take is this is a reminder of what happened to him in his last ever game of football against the Filth, and the lack of consequences that followed to the thug. And the cowards at the ALF.

Honestly, this umpiring is criminal.

That free kick was [censored] awful.

Topped off with yet another seemingly random [censored] 50.

This league is so corrupt

That was a blatant free to Daicos. You might have missed it but he was held off the ball for seconds prior.

Let’s go Freo!!

Heave Ho!

and so forth

My take is that Andy has a massive gash on his head from last week that isn’t finished healing yet, and he wants to keep his blood inside his body this week.

Good for you Mister know it all.

Andrew is wearing Angus Brayshaw’s helmet as a tribute to his brother. Maybe you missed that’s how it’s being reported

Patrick Voss with five goals.

Every team seems to be having no problem in finding tall forward talent. Why do we struggle so much?

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
