Cannot wait to hear goody spin this in his presser

He should be carrying his bags to the press conference, ready to go home and leave us alone, please.

Essendon will be loving their pick we gift them at the end of the season.

And no doubt they'll pick up some great kid who for years we'll have to hear about

Goodwin has officially pushed the list and our club over the cliff! Has destroyed the list, needs to go and a clean out of assistant coaches and so called stars !

I'm surprised how little criticism he gets on here. Week as [censored] and pathetic role model for the young blokes.

Really the three amigos (Oliver, Salem and Petracca) have let us and the club down.

yep about petty and howes

I’m sorry but I see absolutely nothing in Jefferson or Kolt. Not even a highlight that gives me a tickle of hope.

I’d play them in VFL rest of the year. After one more preseason and next year - if they haven’t shown anything, move em on.

Now we get to watch the Hawks and Pies have easy wins

☠️forward entries - poor - too many 9 irons into the air !!!

☠️umps lost control - should have reversed then

☠️Salo ok at sideways 15 metre kicks but is too slow now in defence - gets exposed

☠️Trac is officially the worst kick into 50

☠️Ben King is a [censored] weak [censored] [censored]

👏kozzzy goal

👏Fritsch goal

Too small in defence Walter. Read. King. All in field !!! Drop Lever … bring in !!

On a positive note; we have the talent at the top end. Lack the talent on the middle, and some young guys who could turn out to be good/very good

We are a team deft of system and confidence.

We need a change our coach, method and system

Well one good thing today is that the sun has come out shining in Victoria and we didn’t have to waste time going to and from the game. I predicted we would be a bottom 4 team this year and that is proving to be accurate. So the level of disappointment is not as much as it might be.

  1. Coach should resign.

  2. Planning to move various players on in one way or another should be articulated.

The jokes that come out when we suck.

Hello darkness my old friend.

Bring in Lever? Did you miss the VFL match today? Im seriously thinking Lever is a worse kick than Dom Tyson. Sorry nearly as bad, Dom was such a shocker.

Gee melksham has battled his heart out

A sad indictment when he’s our oldest player.

Gawn the only other senior player earning his paycheck today and even this season.

Trac, Clarry, Salem, Fritsch, Lever and May absolutely letting us down consistently over and over and over again.

I actually see a lot of Kai Lohmann in him. In an actual good side like Collingwood, he would be dangerous. Not the quickest, but is fleet footed, can tackle and can take contested grabs.

Just does not suit our overly congested system. The kid has no room to breathe. Harsh to expect a lot from him.

How fast have we gone from a really good competitive team, to an insipid one.

We are horrible to watch. No skills, effort that we turn on and off like a tap, and absolutely mind boggling game plan.

Kosi is the only player in this team that I enjoy watching. Everyone else is either unskilled or a non entity.

We have been horrible to watch for 2-3 Seasons. But it has hit Rock Bottom this year

Since Burgess left it has been a slow decline in standards and preparation

Goodwin’s mythical Gameplan is non competitive

Hack and Hope….

This cannot go on

may looks finished as a serious afl player

slow and lead to the ball, outbodied in 1:1 contests

Changed your mind from a few weeks ago when you thought he was still one of the best key backs in the game?

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
