Oops ... picked up a superfluous "y" there somewhere, apologies to Jason.

Typo.

Anyone in italics I'd listen to offers on

Bold are the ins i want or have been speculated

Sestan, Kynan Brown survive but only just, key forward cupboard is so bare and only the first 4 of currently listed forwards are actually capable afl players

Brown won't be at the club next season IMO. McDonald a chance to stay but be is he willing to start in the 2's.

Probably just cheap depth given we have spent big elsewhere.

I think that's right. But surely that depth should get used in a season like this.

I'll do my list management again.

B: Lever, May, McVee

HB: Salem, Turner, Bowey

C: Culley (a), Petracca, Langford

HF: Langdon, van Rooyen, Chandler

F: Fritsch, Petty, Melksham

FOLL: Gawn, Viney, Pickett

IC: Lindsay, Rivers, Windsor, Oliver

SUB: Sparrow

Casey

B: Berry (b), Adams, Sestan (a)

HB: Howes, Derksen\McDonald, Moniz-Wakefield (a)

C: Sinnema, Laurie, Sharp

HF: Tholstrup, Johnson, Henderson (a)

F: McAdam, Kentfield (a), Jefferson

FOLL: Heath, Draft pick, Draft pick

IC: Mentha (b), Verrall (a), White

We have to make the decision on wether we want to keep McDonald or we want to recruit Derksen can't have both IMO. If Culley keeps on improving he could be promoted to the senior list giving us 1 rookie pick and 1 draft pick or we can keep him on the rookie list and have 2 draft picks. We should get White and Sinnema to the club, Brisbane's 3rd rounder and Melbourne's 4th rounder should get it done. If we pick up Heath there is no need for Campbell.

My preference would be Lever to another club and Adam’s or Derkson replacing him. We need to rebuild in the next two years,

I'd prefer to keep Lever. At his best he's one of the best interceptors in the game. I've found out a way we can keep McDonald and also recruit Derksen

Casey

We can't rebuild this year is a weak draft due to father\sons and academy players. I can't see us getting back into the draft unless we use a future 1st which I wouldn't want to do. Petracca could get us a first rounder but I want him to stay which I'm sure he will he said he's a Melbourne person and the past is the past.

Laughable.

Geelong have tabled a four year offer to Worpel, as per Jay Clark's reporting.

Laughable if you think Taylor recruits players from other clubs

Don’t know if this has had a run anywhere else:

Riley Beveridge says Fritsch going nowhere, he and club both want him to stay next year. Josh Gabelich says the same thing about Lever.

With the form McDonald is in he deserves another contract.

B: Turner, May, McVee

HB: Salem, McDonald, Rivers

C: Culley (a), Petracca, Langford

HF: Bowey, Petty, Chandler

F: Fritsch, Kentfield (a), Melksham

FOLL: Gawn, Viney, Pickett

HB: Sestan (a), Derksen, Moniz-Wakefield (a)

C: Sinemma, Laurie, Sharp

HF: Mentha (b), Johnson, Henderson (a)

F: McAdam, van Rooyen, Jefferson

FOLL: Campbell, Tholstrup, Sparrow

IC: Verrall (a), White, 2nd rounder

initially i was thinking TMac to retire however i think both he and Melky should continue for another year.

Out - Fullerton, Woewodin, Hore, Henderson, Billings

In - White (FS), Sinnema (NGA),

Dees linked - Derksen, M.Heath, M.Lewis

I hope it will be a summer of significant change.

In the assumed absence of players wanting to be traded out, I would delist:
- Billings
- McDonald (or replace with TMac with Campbell if we trade in a backup ruck)
- Spargo
- Woewodin
- Fullarton
- Laurie (Delist & Re-Rookie for final year of contract)
- (R) Henderson
- (R) Hore
- (R) One of Sestan / K Brown

Which gives us the space to add:
- ND Second Round Pick (Currently #24)
- Toby Sinnema
- Kalani White
- Trade in Wade Derksen
- Player X via Trade / FA / SSP
- Player Y via Trade / FA / SSP

I would definitely keep Clarrie. This was a year for confidence building after a challenging 2024 season. I have a feeling that he will be back to his best form next year.

As long as he plays 4 quarters. His stats look good until you realise he got like 10 disposals in 1 quarter.

Would that perhaps be the quarter we scored 7 goals against a finals contender perhaps?

It’s almost like when Clarry plays well we are a better team.

Someone on another thread seemed to hint that TMac would not be playing on

INJURED DEE CHASING EXTENSION - from HUN

Injured Melbourne playmaker Andy Moniz-Wakefield is set to win a one-year extension as the Dees line up a long list of out-of-contract players.

The Demons have been working to sign up defender Judd McVee and have to make calls on a bunch of others on the list, including veteran Tom McDonald and premiership player Charlie Spargo.

Injured Dee Andy Moniz-Wakefield is hoping to secure a new deal. Picture: Dylan Burns/AFL Photos via Getty Images.

Evergreen forward Jake Melksham and summer signing Jai Culley are both performing well while waiting on a new deal.

Moniz-Wakefield, 21, should lock down a one-year extension in coming weeks, having had his 2025 ruined by a ruptured ACL.

The former Category B signing broke through last year to play six senior games, showing glimpses of dash off the back flank

Great news for the mini 'wrecker'

In M.Heath Flanders Mihocek

Out Billings Fullarton Hore

Is a good start

How do we get Sam Flanders? I think he’d be a great addition but we don’t have the draft capital, players to trade or salary cap room imv

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
