Gee adelaide will be filthy they've let hawthorn back in it.

On a side note I watched unfiltered with Hamish Wednesday night with CJ as his guest. Fascinating story with his family and growing up in a war torn country and walking for days to get to a refugee camp.

CJ.?

Howler of a game in Tassie. Whose brilliant decision was it to schedule a night game in Tassie in winter? Slippery cold snooze fest with tackles, stoppages and carp skills. I put it on mute in the background and watched the cricket - great innings from Stark and a good backup from Hazelwood.

afl saying 'see, you need a roof in tassie' to cope with the weather

except it doesn't rain; it's just freezing cold

Boring as bat [censored] . Wonder whether anyone will question Hawthorns selling of games to Tassie. This is truely woeful.

Also Tassie not only need a stadium roof, they need heated underground turf, state of the art heating. Who’d want to play in 0 degrees on a regular basis.

I watched it too. At 25 years old CJ has seen and experienced things that have forced him to grow up very quickly. I was impressed with how he views his life now.

The 'insufficient intent' rule is an absolute blight on the game.

Crow trying to rush the ball into their scoring zone, mis kicks and pinged. Absolute joke AFL.

i imagine the devils - if they ever come to fruition - would be a regular 1.10pm sunday, 4.40pm saturday side; means any oppo and supporters can fly home that night

feels like a match-winning lead as starc brings up his 50

Pitch looks like a road now. Likely to have a tight finish coming up !!!

Umps are just cheating now. 50m penalties to hawthorn like confetti

WTF that 50??

The same reason pickett got done for on Monday. Placing the ball on the ground instead of throwing it back to the opposition player

The inconsistency on the insufficient intent only makes the rules even more farcical

In the last 5 minutes two identical spoils go out of bounds. One, by Hawks, trow in. The next by Crows - penalised.

Get rid of it.

Why does nothing bad ever happen to Hawthorn? They are charmed

That last insufficient attempt free was ludicrous and set up the winning goal. Another umpire decided result.

Thilthrope

Taylor

Rachele

0.8

What is it with the Hawks? Why can’t teams that dominate them beat them?!

[censored] me!!

The Crows looked sluggish in the last. Noticeably off the pace, lots of tired players.

Maybe they need a new fitness guy

😉

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
