Giants are playing such soft footy.

Just turned up expecting a win

Contested possessions 52-83 tells the story

By end of season I reckon we’ll be competing more with the Suns than Freo. Suns are still flakey and will fall away imo

Win tomorrow and we are 2 games behind them

That would be hilarious!

Hopefully, Hardwick can find innovative and interesting ways of losing just enough matches. I’d throw a party!!🍸🥂🍻🎉🥳

Faull looks a very promising kid for the Tiges

Giants didn’t start well at all, then it looked like the wind was totally knocked out of their sails with the Ward injury.

Panicky and full of fumbles ever since.

You can picture Demonland if we had only 4 free kicks with 5 mins to go in a game like the Giants have currently.

Dammit Ooze.
Looks like you've taken some of our bad habits with ya.

Threw a couple on the tigers at 9.50

Geez they tried to freeze it with 9 mins to go

I didn't think both games today would be interesting. Thought they'd be both 1 sided, but they turned out to be really good games to watch

inaccuracy cost tiges big time

they will be a good team though. plenty of very promising young players

I've never seen a game where a bloke who played 5 minutes dominated the game

Scored were level when Ward did his ACL

Seemed to shock the Giants and played horribly for an hour or more

He gives the speech at 3/4Q time and sparks them to victory

Really feel for Yze and the cubs. But I am loving how well Yze is doing. He will be given at least another couple of years

Tipping the Swans tonight

Crows still haven't proven themselves to be consistent.

And the Swans should come out real hard

Haven't watched the Crows this year but the Swans showed me nothin' last week.

Agree. But they have some pride left

Fun fact: Riley Thilthorpe’s nickname is Lisp

Giants and Freo winning makes tomorrow really important for us to stay in touch. A win and we're still only one game outside the 8. A loss and we're 2 games out and face s red hot Collingwood.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
