My MFCSS is now reaching epic levels. What are we doing? If the list management team has established stars in its sights, then ok…but this now smells of a full scale rebuild, which does not align with the vision Guerra and King came to supporters with less than a week ago. An off season where we lose McVee, Tracc and Clarry and bring in mediocre picks will be just about the end for many supporters. Memberships already down 20%. If we are like Richmond, we will be back on the doldrums.

It absolutely puts more pressure on the club to get the deals done. Which helps the player who wants out.

I never said the info is not true, although there is nothing factual about what he is saying, other than there is a meeting between them.

I am talking about the reason for the leak, and the way it's being framed.

If we go into 2026 with no Petracca , May, Mcvee and now potentially Oliver we will have to rebuild even if we say we aren't

And if we can't bring in any significant players from other clubs. Then a full rebuild is clearly on the cards ( Heath , derkson are borderline VFL and Miochek might help the forward line but only has one or two good years left

With a [censored] draft and maybe only getting draft picks for any players we trade out. I think we are in big trouble for next year. It will be a real battle to rebuild too with Tassie coming in

A lot relying on the development of Windsor , Langford , Lindsay , Turner , Tholstrup , JVR , Bowey ( some good signs here though already with this group

Kozzie might be the only out and out star on our list next year.

We have a lot of quality going out it seems and stuff all quality coming in at this stage.

Kings first year could be really tough !

Mate, they care about clicks and that's about it. every year people like Caro and Sam McClure run with stories that end up being shot down almost immediately.

Their employers want engagements, they're in the entertainment industry, not the truth industry.

Yes some have great records in terms of getting things right, but it's not a priority, mistakes aren't a big deal so they run with stories that aren't verified routinely

So you're idea is that someone from Trac's camp (who?) has told Tom Morris and Sam Edmund that Oliver is on the trade table. How exactly would they know this?

Occam's razor is that this has either come from the club who are trying to guage interest or his manager who needs to actually facilitate something in the next couple of weeks.

If the club does actually want to trade Oliver then I'm not sure how they do so without it being apparent that he's on the market. If it's not true then we should see the club shut it down in the next couple of hours.

If Oliver has been called into a meeting to be given bad news sounds like they have a deal with another club on the table and he’s been told take the trade or you won’t have a spot next year

The way to gauge interest however is not to make it sound like you are pushing someone out. You can say that Clarry wants a fresh start, and we won't trade him for less. Exactly as we have done with Trac.
Unless of course we are happy to trade him for 3 cents in the dollar, which would only make sense if he was still a real issue within the club, which from everything I hear is not the case anymore.

Yeah, the media pile-on which constantly occurs on this site is actually insane and beyond tiresome.

I work in a field which is constantly reported on in media circles and although reporting sometimes lacks nuance, or some matters pertaining to specificity, the overwhelming bulk of reporting is extremely accurate in relation to broad facts, figures and geographic insights.

Correct. the specific intel seems to be King has Called Clarry and his manager to a meeting and "all things are on the table" and Clarry might not like what's said.

Lets say the club lays down the law to Clarry, and if he doesn't agree to all of their expectations he'll be asked to move on, i think that's a very appropriate approach from a new coach to someone like Clarry.

Geeze. If the club doesn't quickly shut this down, you have to assume we're in total rebuild mode. What a time to be starting again.

One question I would like to know if anyone is aware of this, has Maxy recieved his 10 years of service award yet?

If not Clarry looks like he's out the door.

Sounds like the media framing the narrative to me.

King organises a meeting with Clarry (as he will with all players) to outline his (and the team's) role, expectations. This is as per DannyZ. Media gets a hold of it and Edmond spices it up by saying Clarry's been 'summoned' and giving a negative spin. Morris then chimes in and runs with the sky is falling in for Clarry.

It might be worth waiting for the real story before stepping into my MFCSS onesie.
