Like last week, they're walking it out of the centre.

good luck DR. hope all goes well !🤙

Thanks mate. She’s currently getting some rest after a prolonged labour. Still looks more likely than our half back line.

Is 100 points a chance?

I was at Waverley sitting next to Brent Croswell (injured) who went down to hear Barassi's 3/4 time spray. On return, he reported the great man's inspirational speech was "don't get done by 100 points".

High tackle, throw. Play on.

This club is an embarrassment we should have let Trac and Oliver go last year should do a full clean out now none of them want to be there hopefully we drop fritch he is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike

I can't see us avoiding the media blowtorch this week, especially if this margin pushes 60-70 points.

Salem should have been traded long time ago.

Been saying it since 2022.

Well done Langford, he can hold his head high👏

Praise the Lord Langford GOALED

Can't wait for the post match presser.

Learnings, territory, game on our terms with a little bit of love and healing.

That was a 126-1 live bet at half time.

Very difficult to see any upside here. Kozzy, Lever, Judd, Windsor all will help but you'd really think some of the team out there would show a bit more than they currently are.

It's a changing of the guard though. Suns and Roos will both be good this year

Smartest thing I’ve done this season is back the Suns to beat us by 60+.

Dumbest thing is I only put $10 on it at 16-1

wont be 60+, they'll give us hope then choke

Your grandfather is in labour 😮😮??

And if he was. He’d still beat Howes 1 on 1.

Can you show me the way to Fumbletown?

We are experts at handballing at either the feet or well above the heads of players.

Thanks anyway MFC for the last seven years....

Skills aside, are our performance staff getting off easy? How can a whole team be so slow against multiple teams?

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
