He's not welcome in my book.

He seemed to have checked out too early on the field before leaving.

Not very classy.

If he wants to change clubs surely you would be skeptical of recruiting him.

LOL

We'll ask for Jacko, they'll give us Darcy and we'll be dumb enough to say yes

I can’t see this happening. He’s on a long contract.

Except there is another player we have that Freo want who also has a long contract…

Fine…

Jacko for Koz, done deal.
Then Koz will get jack [censored] of the purple [censored] hole in a year and we will take him back…

Seriously though is there ever a big name recruit that goes to that [censored] hole or a club and work out?

it will happen, he’s a gun

It may not happen. See Wade Derksen last year.

Freo have every right to hold him to his contract.

Sure.

It depends how serious the request is

Very curious if there is any truth to this

I don’t see it happening but maybe the door opens with Kozzy wanting to go home 🤷‍♂️

Man, the nostalgia is real. He was the poster child of all the sunshine and rainbows of 2021 in all its glory.

I would say he hasn’t quite lived up to his potential yet, he’s still a B+ player with glimpses of A+, but I’d be all over this. If nothing else for the nostalgia alone! But moreover because he fills a clear need and we have the collateral.

Get it done Lamby boy!

I guess the same as we do with Koz…. Strange times

Jackson was excellent today FWIW

I forgot just how important his follow up work was for us in 2021 and 2022 - his ability to become an extra midfielder is second to none amongst big men

Saves his A+ games against us.

Nice to give Freo fans a bit of their own medicine…

It would be nice if they are in a dog fight with the Eagles for Warner and therefore need additional draft capital…. Keep Kozzy and bring back Jacko…. Would be a real Freo thing to do as well

So, a 'new partner' and her 'expanding work opportunities' become the draw to 'the east coast', and they spent Christmas here.

Solid.

Media, all is forgiven!

Would take him back in an instant.

p.s. Kelsey Browne 33, Luke Jackson 23.

This is probably not p.c. but...

👏

To both of them.

p.p.s. Kelsey's from Geeeeelong.

Uh-oh...

Lol, I can see the Jackson for Pickett swap, and then in about four years when Pickett's kids are a bit older and things more stable and Freo are plunging off the face of the earth, we bring him back as well, in exchange for another homesick young Westralian, and the cycle continues.

So long as Freo are paying the lumpy parts of the contracts and we get the father-son selections, it is hilarious.

Who am I thinking of, Trent Croad, was it?

Never change, Freo, never change.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
