But the only certain memberships are worth having and most are already gone.

What are you alluding to?

Memberships bought in Nov 24 are no more valid than an April 1 2025 or June13 2025.
As well as rollover members  counted in from start in October 2024.

Please comment BIC.

I was replying to a comment that said “come June / July if we look like making the 8 there may be a surge in membership sales”. By then most if not all memberships that have the guaranteed GF ticket attached are already sold.

Fair enough that is stating a mostly true observation clearly rather than making it unclear or possibly devious to uninformed members. Many rollover fans are more likely to have a GFG without a doubt. But if any are still available come July they are still equally eligible if there is a GFG ballot in certain ticket allocations I believe.

I've already paid for the GFG and my digital membership but I usually dont pay for my MCC/MFC dual membership option until closer to the season.

Spread some of these payments about a bit.

Interesting. I didn't know you could split them like that. I just today took a big hit with 2 X GFG, 2 full price MCC-MFC and 2 discount associate MCC-MFC for the family. It takes some digesting.

Chat GTP is optimistic to think Collingwood will make it to the GF, they're geriatric now, the Geelong of 2025.

Not surprised HW they weren’t put back in their place like we have been.😪

I’ve got my membership, 30+ years consecutive member. It’s the ones that need the inspiration to sign up that you should be worrying about.

We are on the same trajectory as 2022 and finished with over 65k that year. It will all depend on how we are tracking by about round 10/11. If finals are looking likely we will easily get 60k

Sorry how is that relevant? So you pay your membership and then its ok to be a defeatist?

C'Mon post something positive, it's gunna be a fun season, we have Lindsay and Langford to watch. Trac and Clarrry look primed and keen, what's not to love?

Not sure it’s being defeatist, moreso realist. A lot of our supporters are fair weather types.

Wtf is wrong with our club, soon as things start looking good.. we assembled a premiership list everyone thought was ganna be at the top for a long time... record members 70k+ we seem to f$#@k it up ourselves, our best players want to leave and I don't blame them... we have 1 chance this year to recover this era so we can look back on it being a true success... don't want to go from flag and looking at being a big club to back in the doldrums where we once were.. there is so much riding on this season. Hope we can deliver

Lastly to anyone who hasn't signed up, get off your a#$e and support like made this year the boys need us in the stands more than ever

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
