Skills must be a high priority next year. We don't know how to change direction, baulk, weave, evade, find a low 30mtre kick to advantage, sit at the front of the marking contest to crumb.....just a couple of suggestions.

It honestly looked like a VFL vs an AFL side the entire night.

Woewodin

Laurie

Billings

Tomlinson

Tholstrup

Hore

Howes

Not surprised that we looked VFL level. Realistically we should only have 1 maybe 2 of those players getting a game at this stage.

Our list depth is a real worry.

If they go back on just stand near daicos. The lightening won't strike him

I hope a player brings out a gum tree branch over Daicis’s head. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Sorry but I had to call it a day. I can’t no more.

Yeah I'm done, don't need to prove anything.

Well, unlike I suspect many of the people on this thread, I have been at the game. All our best midfielders were out. Lever and May were not playing. Free kicks were 3 to one in their favour. We made some terrible errors, but I think our players did their best and I'm not going to criticise them.

100% agree And I was there too*.

(Had to leave at half time to visit ‘The Royal’ for a quick pot, but still home by end of the game)

Doesn't matter if the security people get hit by lightning apparently.  They're all standing out on the ground.

I wanted to stay for Nibbler but I’ve had a truly horrible day and it took a lot of effort just to get there today.
I lost my voice abusing Maynard. I got 20 Pies filth kicked out of the members area. I’m done.

Or hand ball with advantage to our players

Come off the grass Mc Donald was extremely competitive. I have bagged Lever , but his organisation skills would have been very handy tonight.

However I think this was treated as a practice matcxh to try out a new style of play. Unfortunately we were undermanned and unprepared. Collingwood play this running game so it was really difficult for our blokes to be trying something so different. Firstly in this game style you need to be moving more ,not letting using delaying tactics which lets the next level setup properly.

You have got to have the right personnel to play a particular game style. Collingwood have got it with Daicos 1 & 2 etc.

Have not said anything about Tmac..

You did a good job Jaded.

personally I think you could have aimed higher with 50 of the fkr’s. But I’ll give you a silver star for your work.

Unlike others not disappointed losing Nibler, great clubman, played a role good luck to him.

Yes, I hear you. I was desperate to stay for him too. Also had a horrible week myself and coming down with something. That's a wrap.

I think most of us thought that McAdams and Fullarton would at the least be decent depth at the start of the year. Two decent players would make a big difference.

completely agree we should throw away our most prolific goal scorer over the past 5 years. Also our most skilled played along side Kozzi

He is never going to be a hard man. He is our finisher. When we play well he looks great like the 6 he kicked in the GF

It’s not about him “never going to be a hard man” , it’s about him regularly being a serious defensive liability ie. lack lustre chase, feeble tackles. This also sets a horrible example to his teammates and surely can’t be good for team morale.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
