Haven’t seen the game yet and probably won’t this week but I’ll tame my excitement, we beat up a hapless Gold Coast who’d lost to WCE and North in recent weeks. We still have a look of work to do. As a whole club, from coaching to player retention and beyond.

No one is getting carried away, but let the supporters smile even if it’s for one week. Everybody knows there’s a lot of work to be done over the summer, some just can’t enjoy a win.

It definitely felt like their intensity lowered as the game went on but IMO it was only the fourth quarter where it felt like they truly stopped. In the third I felt like we put a gap on them when they were still up and about.

I don’t really rate that pressure stat. I’ve seen teams with high pressure stats hardly lay a glove on the opposition.

I think the eye is the best test of pressure and GC waved the white flag in the second half - particularly in the last quarter. There’s a reason Dimma labelled it their worst performance of the year (and they’ve had some shockers). It wasn’t just their pressure, other parts of their game including their centre clearance work were woeful.

Again not taking anything away from a really good performance by us with an under-strength side, but my comment was in response to the notion of ‘that’s what happens when you take the game on’. We aren’t going to face that level of inept opposition every week. 

Very proud of the whole team yesterday, that is the deepest that we have batted since the Saints game. Never really felt concerned, our centre square work was exceptional, we got the ball in quickly and our three talls all stood up, Melksham is so calm as our forward general and Fritta played up the ground more, his run down the wing with 4 bounces then kicked long to Turner was scintillating stuff. Jack’s game was elite as was Ed’s and Max worked his heart out to give us first use. A great team game, hard, tough and united and we were so full of run that they wilted half way through the third whereas we were still running hard until the siren sounded, great game Dees.!!!

It was too footy centric where he would have prefered a bit more sympathy towards the seriousness of the injury and that footy is taking a back seat whilst he concentrates on his health and the timeline will look after itself. Clarrie’s not said a bad word about the club. He’s forever grateful for the patience and care afforded him by all: the FD, Goody, line coaches and almost all the players. He’s determined to repay everyone in the only way he knows: by getting back to the player he was and we all know he can be again. He’s driven by this ambition.

Clarrie is childlike, not a malicious bone in his body. He couldn’t be scheming and calculating if his life depended on it. It’s often said Clarrie’s not the brightest but I’ll tell you this much… Tracc isn’t half the person Clarrie is. That’s my opinion and I’ve every reason to feel this way.

Great to hear that Clarry is focussed on getting back to his best.

Thank you for your comments on Clarrie. That is very reassuring. 
As for Tracc, without actually saying it, you painted a very unflattering picture of him - which I’m sure was your real intent. It seems that the ego-maniac kid that first arrived at the club perhaps hasn’t really changed, only disguised that trait. I also infer that perhaps Tracc has been less than accepting of Clarrie’s transgressions, and that Batman and Robyn are no longer the dynamic duo. If the divide at the club actually stems from all of this, then I hope we give Tracc similar orders that we gave Clarrie - shape up or ship out.

I don’t have to watch the game to know there are major issues, blind Freddy can see that. Enjoy the win, gosh people are overly sensitive and emotional on this site.

We’re the only interstate club to beat them at home this year aren’t we (unless I’m wrong)? I don’t know how hapless they are up there.

WCW have you noticed any change in Petraccas personality since he joined the club?

I always thought he was a similar personality to that of Clarry.

I do wonder if his current environment may have changed him? From the young lad that first arrived to the club.

Lots of kids will need a big hug if #5 walks out the door, that for sure.

That's the part that depresses me the most, he was a role model on the field alongside Max and Gus. At least to me.
