Two days ago, Tom Morris reported that Bolton has requested a trade. Now Morris posts the below on X. Morris is quickly becoming the new purple. IMG_6490.jpeg.7eb087d2ef265d6559afe7777919d159.jpeg

I'm thinking more Tom Browne.

Someone should rename his "classic moments" thread on BF from Browne to Morris, and carry on.
They are basically the same person.

I too am very confused about all this .

Collingwood players essentially caused both Traccs  and the Brayshaw problems😳

If Tracc were to amazingly end up at Collingwood, l would find it quite bizzare.

Should the  football club ever consider going down this road, many supporters would surely be devastated  and feel very badly let down.

No, according to the media we caused both their injuries. Brayshaw should have been off and Tracc shouldn’t have been sent back on. Just remember that

Hi Foopy. It’s a bit delicate for me to say much about this one other than to say CP did ask Robbie the question about the possibility of him breaking his contract and being traded.  I repeat, it was just the possibility of it being able to happen.
Robbie shut it down straight away!  I can assure you his Management are not promoting the concept of a trade.
Not certain how Tom Morris became aware of it.  FYI, it isn’t uncommon for contacted players to ask their manager could they get them out of their contract.

Thanks for the update @goodwindees. I was interested to hear on the channel 10 report tonight that the club was unhappy with some of the advice Petracca’s been getting “from people close to him”.

Would this be his management, his fiancée or his parents do you think?

Petracca must be aware that ongoing speculation and rumours about his commitment are damaging to the club and to his teammates.

If he has been unable to get a satisfactory response to any concerns he has, it is now time to come out and let everyone know why he is unhappy.

If the rumours are untrue, there is even more reason for him to say so publicly.

As a person and as a player he has earned enormous respect and affection from Demons fans, and of course no one can suffer injuries as severe as his without significant trauma. (I do, however, remain mystified as to how an "accidental" knee in the back can connect with the force required to smash four ribs, rupture his spleen and puncture a lung).

If there are serious problems at the club, as constantly claimed by the media, they need to be aired and sorted out. Surely Roffey, Pert and Goodwin ought to make this their joint top priority. Allowing this situation to drag on indefinitely is not an option.

In the worst-case scenario that Petracca seeks a trade, it is difficult to see any realistic player exchanges that match his value. At a minimum, I would expect him to warrant two first-round draft picks, with one of these in the top five.

Not shown in this report is @WalkingCivilWar holding a gun behind Adrian’s back and whispering “you better say nice things about us”

Please say mentally unhinged. Who wants to be boring?!

I vote for mentally unhinged.

Has anyone thought of the possibility that, given the extent and trauma of his injury, that Trac may well want out of Melbourne, but not for another club?

Certainly not Tom Morris.

Maybe his mate Ben Simmons is giving him trade advice.

Two top five picks, plus a third between 10 - 15.

There are certain influential elements around Christian that have been very, very publicly loud airing their grievances. It’s not an ideal situation and has exacerbated some grievances - some potentially real and some likely perceived.

In saying that, Christian is a big boy. There’s work to do in both ends to turn this around.

I’m sorry, but whether it’s turned around or not is irrelevant. In doing this, Christian has put added pressure on the club heading into next year. The media will be like vultures whether even if he stays. They want the downfall story. Every time we lose next year, it’ll be “are there fractures” “what is wrong with the culture” - he may have had good intentions, but I doubt it, and this has literally been a negative for the entire club and its image, at a time when it was dwindling after a period of success.

I’m sorry, but he just [censored] in the face of his own club and its supporters. I can’t understand how anyone can defend the behaviour.

He must have someone in his ear telling him the media narrative around sending him back on the field  , and the junk about Pies players caring for him. It makes me angry and sick. It’s a load of bull tish

I’m not defending anyone, as I said, Christian is a big boy and there is a substantial amount of work that is required to be undertaken by him (and the club), if he is to stay. But it’s also not a binary situation.

I think there are serious problems within the club and whilst that’s not an excuse for behaviour, it’s a causative reason this has occurred.

I didn't see on the couch but apparently Garry went full Melbourne mode

He said that in the unlikely event MFC was to allow a trade that the MFC would remind him he signed a 7 year contract but they may reconsider it in 3 years time if the trade currency was a decent offer coming from the new Tassie team.

Yep, he sure did. Along the lines of "Jack Viney is red and blue from his toes to his head, Trac isn't going anywhere, theyll sort it out and we should say stick with us for 3 years and if you still arent happy we'll call Tassie and trade him then, Clarko shouldn't have mentioned Jack in an interview, maybe someone should go to Larkey and offer 1.5mil".

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
