I understand that players have a limited career, but does his influence will slowly fade as soon he is no longer a footy player?

does anyone remember Lou Richards for his Recipe of the week on League Teams?

I think Trac should leave.  He almost died and now the club is backgrounding the press to take down his reputation.  Vintage MFC.  It's a weak club run by weak people.  We have a long history of exporting players who go on to have better careers elsewhere and Trac will be no different.  I hope he goes somewhere that wraps there arms around him warts and all and let him play his best footy.   I love the club but save for norm smith getting sacked this has been the darkest week in the clubs history.

His team are backgrounding to the press as well. Both sides are in the wrong.

My sage advice will become evident during the Roast Pork and Stuffed Spatchcock lesson.

I unfollowed him...but I have seen his account has grown by 3,000! I'm assuming it's the Carlton and pies supporters... i'm sure once a decision has been made, he might lose all those new followers... or if he does manage to go to the bigger club - gain more! Watch this space!

It's got nothing to do with football. It's non football followers.  Bigger world out there. Food!

Hmm so this is your first post? How about you worry about your Dad’s army team who will probably all get injured again next year. Can’t wait to hear McCrae keep on calling this flash in the pan side a bunch of winners.

Just a tad melodramatic 🤣

Perhaps our good friend Gtrain has forgotten about the number of MFC casualties during WWII.  Absolute tragedy. Yer, a week when a bloke has said nothing is far worse. Give me a spell.

Trac is at my country shack avoiding media scrutiny .

We made ravioli together and quaffed a Soave then a nice Chianti.

I’ve rolled a Jamaican cigar.

Today I’ll be teaching him gratitude, silence and how to do one’s laundry in private.

Yet you've posted this on Demonland, which is a social media site.

I’m not sure I categorise this as social media. This is a discussion forum where people with a common interest come to discuss things and share news etc. not just a social media free for all where everyone just wants to get likes and tell other people stuff they aren’t interested in ever like how good their fancy lunch looked.

No sir DL is definitely not social media, it is very specific watering hole type online place that actually has a purpose.

I take your point though, if I had it my way there would be no internet and the world sound be a better place. Humans just can’t handle so much choice and information.

Not really. Anyone with as little as a week experience in media relations or corporate affairs can see that these leaks are coming from the club.

He goes out for lunch with 3 teammates... and 3 teammates on condition of anonymity leak details of the lunch to the media lol

I was referring to the 'worst week in our clubs history' comment.  Read my earlier response.

Whateley is at it again on SEN this morning. Ran a long diatribe on the Petracca issue. Was adamant that MFC let Petracca and family down in the first weeks of ICU. I rang to try and respond but could not get through.

He’s just part of the media [censored] squad.

Whateley is a POS journalist. His self righteous snivelling style is unbearable.

The club released another statement this morning:

Petracca needs to say something very soon so we can all move on as he is causing untold damage to the club in his silence.

Only reason I can think of as to why he hasn’t is he is waiting for Carlton to finish their campaign so they can declare their mutual interest in a trade.

Yeah I would say that there is no other reason I can think of for the silence. Ive been putting pressure on a couple of folks who claim to know him personally but to no avail.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
