Dees need to say.

We aren’t trading you.  That’s it.

Plenty of examples of this and club- player bond being repaired.

This is also true. Neale, Papley are just two that come to mind.

Investing one of the rumoured reasons is a lack of training facilities, I find it amazing we don’t loose more players for that reason. We still have 0 movement on that front as well just goes in the to hard basket

We have state of the art facilities at Casey and at AAMI park.

The desire to play in front of large crowds dates back to long before his current injury.

IMHO… He’s a diva.

He’s definitely gone then!!

How do you realistically come back from this? He is forcing the clubs hand. I think we hang him out to dry. He can goto Richmond. We can take Pick 1, F1 off their hands and Lynch (-500K). They get their replacement for Dusty.

They have good facilities, not near Casey, Melbourne based, big following.

I’d take just the picks, I think lynch is looking for one last bonus to whoever would bite

I think those two are a bit different. Both were potential trades to different states due to considering being closer to family. They didn't hate their current clubs. Christian doesn't want to move states, he just wants out as he's mad at the club and wants to be at a bigger one (if you believe the reports so far).

The rumours are that the leadership group didn’t approach him during his time off. The coaches and management should have seen this coming and prevented an escalation

Even if those 'rumours' are true, and the management didn't spot that, it is hardly egregious incompetence or unprofessionalism.

The Age is talking McKay. We

would also want their 1st round.

why tf would MFC want a forward, we have plenty of them, with JVR looking good for the future.

we need AAA midfielders, especially if one is leaving in this scenario

It’s a job for the players. Who wants to stay at a toxic workplace where certain employees are held less accountable and treated more favourably than others. Unless you know all of the details, how about taking it a little easier on Trac.

Pretty much all workplaces are toxic @Ethan Tremblay. The data is unambiguous on this. He won't find Carltank any less toxic - just the hue of the toxicity will be different.

Funny coz during the practice match against Carlton in the preseason a group of Carlton kids and their Italian parents were getting Tracs autograph, and he said something like, I should be playing for Carlton with so many Italian supporters!

Off the cuff remark, but absolutely gospel truth.

I'm staggered that you would base your view of the total incompetence of the club on a single rumour.  Even if true, it is hardly the sin of all time.  Get a grip.

It wouldn't be hard to choose between permanent inner-city (or close to it) facilities or regular trips to Cranbourne but it's not like he thought we were leaving Casey when he signed the contract so it would be an interesting excuse if true.

You basically just named McKay but with his kicking that’s a dead end we will have a 60 goal fwd and never make finals

Maybe I should have said a ruck who can forward. TDK.

But for the record I don't think either are going to want to be traded.

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
