Yes, it was George, except itโ€™s Jorge when itโ€™s Max saying it. Jess says at first it was novel and funny but now itโ€™s a thing. ๐Ÿ˜…

Apparently George/Jorge knows the words to most of the Club songs but the Carlton one is his favourite. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Never thought the day would come where Gawny is not a perfect role model, but here we are... Jawny asleep at the wheel in terms of indoctrinating Jorge!

No, thatโ€™s how Alejandro knew heโ€™d given me the wrong drink. He said a woman came back and was very angry about having been given my cappuccino. I said well if thatโ€™s her biggest problem, sheโ€™s doing well. Hashtag some people ๐Ÿ™„ย

Oh.

Clearly not then. Caution (or that other thing) continues...

Not much footage today. I had to bin a couple of vids because I unwittingly had slo-mo on ๐Ÿคญ

Note: I included the first vid because itโ€™s a little reminder that these boys are human and have feelings. So, Clarrie came into the tent and went straight to someoneโ€™s toddler, picked him up and cuddled him. I filmed the end of it. When I stopped filming I said, โ€œThat suits you Claz.โ€ He said, โ€œYeah, hopefully one day,โ€ and it was sweet and a little sad at the same time.ย

BBB is still an assistant coach with our W team so heโ€™ll be around for that. He loves that role.

Neither of his legs were strapped which is a rare sight. And yes, heโ€™s a ripping bloke. For so many reasons heโ€™s a beautiful human being.

Agree with you on Sestoโ€™s bum. He has such a low centre of gravity. Makes bringing him down in a tackle difficult. Iโ€™ve noticed this in training.ย

See you're really good at this reporting thingy.ย ๐Ÿฅฐ

Is the River rumour got something to do withย  Barass or Waterman. Players must get fed up with being a focus of trade rumours when there is nothing to them. Trent will be up there for B&F this year and being from Perth he is going to be a natural target. Not that it matters I suppose but he still has 2-3 years left of his contract.

All good. After training I walked past the coffee shop and Alejandro, my gorgeous Colombian barista called out for me to come back. He realised heโ€™d given me the wrong drink so I got a cappuccino on the house. Ergo our season is still salvageable ๐Ÿ˜

I want to hear more about this Alejandro ,what are his intentions does he own his own house, hows his super account look does he give free coffee to every dolly bird that walks past,is he good enough for you. Finally can he pinch hit the ruck

Not only is it too close to the ground, but it appears to have a big crack in it.

The rumor was just garbage, nothing to it, just a poster's thoughts that Rivers' may want to return to W.A one day.

I was talking to one of the trainers. He told me Jeffo really looks up to a certain player and this player is a role model for him. I was waiting to hear a seasoned playerโ€™s name. It's rumoured that former Hawthorn Football Club President and Liberal stalwart Jeff Kennett has a tattooed tribute to the last three Australian Prime Ministers from his political party.

He has Tony Abbott on his left butt cheek, Scott Morrison on the right ... and Malcolm in the middle.

No, youโ€™re confusing a trip to AIA with me and Trac collaborating on a cooking channel. His heart rate has to remain under 110bpm so I told Bella to take a break and I stepped in. Tonight weโ€™re making baked beans on toast.

Jeff Kennett would only have his name tattooed on his butt...that's how far he's up himself.ย

  • GAMEDAY: Fremantle

Itโ€™s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0โ€“6 start?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. Itโ€™s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this yearโ€™s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.ย  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.ย

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old sideโ€”the Tigersโ€”coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking?ย I mean by โ€œtheyโ€ the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around.Itโ€™s no secret that the Demonsโ€™ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack.ย Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryanโ€™s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winningย 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
