Hot Tip - North to beat the Cats in Tassie

My requests:

Carlton to beat Port.

North to beat Geelong

Brisbane to beat GC

St Kilda to beat Essendon

WC to beat Freo

Richmond to beat Collingwood

Sydney to beat Dog

Adelaide to beat Hawthorn

I expect just 3 of those to salute.

I hope we get to knock Carlton out in a final.

It will make up for supporting them tonight.

Would love to see the filth get beaten by the tigers.

Would be very Port to pluck a win tonight

Harry McKay a late out makes the game a bit more interesting.

But even more interesting the fact this 'illness' could be due to concussion symptoms perhaps?

Would love to see the Kangas beat the Cats.

Crows v Hawks is a tough one to pick.

Would possibly be. AFL will wave it through though. No point upsetting the Lygon Mafia

All 👀 on DH5 😁

Why do Carlton play so many games at Marvel?

Mcg is their home right?

ratugolea has started well. taken some strong marks and slotted that setshot nicely

Followed quickly by that great Georgiades goal. 👊🏼

This is a sheeteth game so far

Mackay late out

Sub used in 1st Q

kicked 1.4

its all lining up for a nightmare night for the Blues! loving it

Warms the heart that so many Demonlanders are barracking for the Blues tonight 💙😁

Am watching the game in Korea with beer and fried chicken and trying to explain Aussie Rules to my brother-in-law 😁

Hasn't been the best start and sub already used but Carlton can still win this ... Up the Baggers!

Neither side kicked enough goals for the quarter.  I hope they both lose.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
