Fancy getting Trac's name wrong. The quicker Green is out, the better.

It was a power move because he wasn’t there.

As for the BnF, I suppose Pert got up and spoke. What was the reception for him? Can't imagine it was warm...

"Muted" would be the word I would use. Unfortunately he then said Ben Brown had worn the No. 38. Oops.

How did he pronounce it?

He pronounced it "Pea Tracker" rather than "Pea Trarker". Tricky with the nickname Trac.

So as an Aussie he said it that way instead of the Italian way.

That is the least of his and our problems.

That would have been a problem.

did he use the correct pronoun (he/him). If not then Pert needs to be burned at the stake

Oliver won't be traded at this time, while I'm not against it for other reasons that is not about his health, I hope he puts in a solid pre season and works on his deficiencies to become an all round footballer.

I think we do a clock work orange on Tracc and Clarry - make them watch the Third Quarter blitz in the 2021 grand final with those things in their eyes so they cant look away or even blink. Everything will be fine.

Hi Daz & Brendan. I can’t say too much except that right now, I think a deal gets done.
When I announced this a month ago, I didn’t think it was possible because I couldn’t see Dees getting fair value from Cats.
They’ll certainly have their work cut out taking on Bailey, Claz & Stengle.
The stories I could tell re Bailey.

Have your thoughts on the likelihood of a deal changed since the events of Friday (reported that the Dees have knocked deal on the head + Brad Green saying he’ll be there round 1) or was that just posturing from the club to make Geelong stump up more?

Sounds like Cats don’t have more, given Smith coming, so unless a player is involved and that doesn’t seem to be happening, he won’t be a Cat, this year at least.

Then if another club doesn’t get involved, that Clarry would be interested in, he is staying.

Very glad our stars are not looking like they'll be traded for now...I think after another full pre season and full season with them mentoring and playing with our young guns we might all feel differently come end of next year.  The star players may have a better year with more success and will be happy sticking around if the club turns a corner, or if it's another poxy year but we get a year of experience into the youth and the older star players aren't pulling their weight as much and causing problems then perhaps we'd be more comfortable letting them get traded.

Glad to have another year, I think it will be quite telling, lots to be excited about with the youth though getting another pre season and another year of AFL under their belts that's for sure.  Glad Oliver and Trac and Kozzie will be there to play alongside them for 2025 and hopefully beyond!!

Probably more where I was angling. wondering whether Dees have/had been pushing for a Neale or a TDK and the Cats pushed back and this latest play was more a ploy to get the to up the offer

Ugh just turned on wide world of sports & they're live from Accor stadium obviously with the nrl gf & that Sam McClure is there live to talk about trade week.

I changed the channel

Should have stay tuned. Looks like we're keeping our best two midfielders of the last 50 years and still have plenty of room in our salary cap to make a play for somebody else.

Could be the biggest [censored] you to the media of all time if we snag someone unexpected.

I heard it from a source 100% more reliable than Sam McClure that he will seek a trade in the next 24 hours. We will see if that eventuates. Same source has got a few wrong but got the Kennedy / Howe trade and the Toumpas choice before anyone else.

not sure if you want to identify "he" more clearly. Source now anything to add?

I can’t differentiate sarcasm & seriousness anymore on this site.

This a good enough reason for Green to be ridiculed already?

Please tell me you’re kidding

Given none of our supporter base can get JVR'S pronunciation correct and yell Roo when he get's it, i'm nor sure why the same people are upset when our president calls trac pertracka.

Given our track record of draft picks at the time, i don't imagine anyone could have predicted the fat red head kid that nobody else rated would become a legend of the mfc and have the members screaming to burn the house down if he was let go

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
