What’s the difference? Both is about trying to get a free kick when one isn’t warranted.

i’m not saying I agree it’s just how the AFL operate. It’s like falling backwards when you feel a slight tug at your jumper. it does not get punished and will keep creeping in to the game

Reason #245 why I hate the AFL

Just watched the storm have another win. Gee I reckon Goodwin can learn a lot off Craig Bellamy. I know clarkson & Buckley used to catch up with him for advice.

We use the same gym as them. Our players could learn a bit off these players.

You can see it here. Not a single media person has mentioned it though.

Hit in top left chest, falls like he's been winded with a gut punch and then holds his head on the ground. Not a peep from the commentators.

WOW. That is soccer level.

If that isn't fined and publicly shamed then Melbourne may actually have a legal case to challenge May's fine.

But hey, it was probably a 'football act'. Or football acting, maybe?

Bombers pretenders. They’ll choke in the run home and limp into the 8 and lose the first week to keep the count up.

They play Collingwood again next week. Hopefully another draw again

I’ll eat my shoe if the AFL fines their darling thug

Not only is he a thug, he’s also one of the weakest cowards in the competition. Always hitting opponents when they’re not looking and then flopping when he gets anything coming back.
A bigger piece of [censored] you won’t find in the game. I truly wish a speedy end to this bog ordinary career.

What do you really think about him?

Now if Robbo is consistent he will call Maynard a cheat.

What are the odds of that?

Will we see it replayed 100 times this weekend like when they hung May out to dry?

Come on Buckley call for his suspension.

Why are the umps so hot on holding the ball but weren’t last night? Like wtf is going on with this competition?

0% chance of that. And if it happens watch that slimy [censored] McRae come out and defend him and say he’s having such a hard time and he helped an old lady cross the road on his way to bring Touk Miller flowers 🤮🤮🤮

Mac Andrew not about to take sch!t from Maynard… love it.

Umpires really stuffed up a good close game in that 3rd quarter (ESS v Cats).

Must admit don't watch much of the Bombers but is Harrison Jones worth a thought as a tall forward? Pretty sure he's out of contract. Injury prone it seems but the right age demographic.

Bombers fans are always so shocked to find out their team is terrible every year. it’s makes it all the more delightful

They haven’t beaten a non bottom 2 team since May 11th

Dropping last night's game hurts even more now.

Had we won we'd be 6th and sitting just a draw behind Essendon, who are proving themselves to be fraudulent. 7 of their 9 wins are against the bottom 6, and they're being flogged by a side on a 1-6 form run who haven't done almost anything right for two months.

Essendon fans complaining about draper's non free kick. Maybe it's karma for his non free kick against Essendon when he dived on the ball.

True but were still only out of the 8 on %. If we play like we did last night we'll be in every game that we have left. If we're good enough we'll play finals

I picked Geelong tonight, purely because I firmly believe Essendon are very average, and have only elevated because of the extreme softness of their draw.

Where did The Edge go?😁

I hope U2 are not thinking of a come back! Great band but their day is well and truly over. Not sure he ever visited the Bummers. Surely the Bummers still haven't found what they're looking for.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
