I thought Windsor was good today.

Rivers and Salem tried pretty hard too.

Laurie - Replace with Sestan

Chandler - replace with Tholstrup

It's about time we played some big-bodied clearance beasts instead of two undersized school boys

May, great after first?

as the general down back played terribly. every time they went fwd they looked like scoring

Except for the 20 times he repelled their attack.

Gawn - performed as expected

Rivers - lost his dash

Salem - poor under pressure

vanRooyen - showed some energy

Pickett - didn’t convert chances

Windsor - couldn’t get involved

Viney - off the pace

Oliver - disposals were amateurish

Fritsch - poor first half

May - great after first

Neal-Bullen - a disciplined performance

Petracca - there goes season

Sparrow - continued poor season

Laurie - a schoolboy footballer

Bowey - had little influence

Turner - a year away

Howes - two years away

McDonald - impressive under pressure

McVee - was rarely noticed

Langdon - career worst game

Billings - nothing to commend

Chandler - was he playing?

Petty - offered team nothing

Sparrow should have couple weeks at Casey

Lawrie can go, he’s just no good

Billings & Petty can go, never again, Petty is already in Adelaide, just going through the motions at the moment, he’s a waste of space.

Thought May was pretty poor today. Uncharacteristically a momentum killer, he constantly got sucked high up the ground leaving 1 v 2s on the last line often, the guy was totally at sea today.

That mark in the 3rd where he went to play on and handball it straight into Jack Crisp a metre away was pathetic and his weak effort on Hoskin-Elliott right on the stroke of half time when we desperately needed to not concede was unforgivable. This was a very un-Steven May like performance and i'd expect him to be pretty unhappy with it too.

How he is still getting a game is mind blowing, fumbles, fumbles then when he does grab it either gets caught or turns it over. Get rid of him.

Why wouldn't we turn Sparrow into a tagger? Seems the ideal body type and is ready fitness wise to do just that. Instead we are sacrificing an incredibly important player to our structure like ANB on Daicos.

Daicos would have just run off Sparrow.

ANB ' s value is his commitment to any role he's given

Some teams have more than one of those allowing coaching choices

McDonald was great I thought. More then 3 words but here is another 3 word précis.

WTF

Couldnt be asking for more form him.  Very dependable and deserves some praise.  Team has never been the same since he did his foot in 2022

ANB is the most disciplined and unselfish player in probably the entire competition. He is the only player on our list capable of executing a heavy tag to absolute perfection.

I would play Viney more as a half forward when Nibbler is in the middle, to counterbalance that defensive minded attack that we miss when ANB isn’t there.

Rivers - lost his dash … what game are you watching? At 591 metres gained, Riv was ranked #1 in todays game, most often with a running burst before a long kick!

Although he faded in the last, I thought he was very good. Particularly in the first and second where he showed some great skill and dare weaving through pies players.

I think Windsor is going to be a real player, even on days where he’s below par, he still puts in and his presence is more than his slight frame should allow.

Jvr too.

Not that he was bad yesterday.

He's still getting bigger and learning his craft. Will start holding more of those grabs after his powerful run and leads to the ball.

Just needs to drop and soften his hands and impact of ball and more will stick.

Great leap so he plays like he's four inches taller.

A future and hopefully long term star at the Mfc.

Long may we hear roooooooooo.

If last week was rock bottom, it’s not all doom and gloom. Points margin of loss was decreased by 41% from the previous round.

 joeboy - comic genius works

Max Gawn - monumental in defeat

Trent Rivers - endeavour lacks finesse

Kysaiah Pickett - wayward [censored] genius

Christian Salem - ying or yang?

Caleb Windsor - kid goes alright

Jacob Van Rooyen - showed some spark

Bayley Fritsch - press play now

Tom McDonald - centred amongst kaos

Alex Neal-Bullen - Nibbler does daicos

Steven May - matchup from hell

Christian Petracca  - gallant at Gallipoli

The rest - little meaningful impact

Next encounter - Clarkson smells blood?

Nice ,until you claim he's the best in the entire competition ..supporting your team doesn't require extreme hyperbole.

No  I don't know enough of all the other teams to say who is " better" ,but I did say his value to the team just that.

He's underrated for sure

Hopefully the " coach" will leave him back where he's at his best in his sunset season(s).

Tom is one injury away from the end, and it must be demoralising to be finishing up in a rubbish team like the one he spent so much time in early on.

He's been admirable so far this season

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
