Anyone else think Disco is a better player, than BBB OR JEFFO??

-12 in contested possessions is pathetic. There is no other way to frame it.

Unbelievable what this team is becoming, sure 1st qtr but as usual they are looking off & freo gave never played, our mids honestly and our fwds , dumb decision in the backline

Oliver is now a fully fledged turnover merchant.

Of course he is, but no, you can't say that on here because hea a protected species.

Costs us goals every week.

McAdam couldn’t make the distance the last 2 weeks but that was put down to learning the Melbourne system.

Some things just are in football with no need for learning a system.

A 5kg dumbbell is a 5kg dumbbell, a short handball is a short handball, a 35 metre set shot...

what a terrible quarter of football, we gave them most of those goals with absolutely braindead football, turnovers and total lack of skill. is this another game where we came in thinking we got this, we dont need to do anything. kick the first couple of goals and go into this is easy mode and just blow it all over the ground. something needs to be done about the attitude melbourne players show out there, no respect for their opponents, not manning up, not chasing, not tackling, no idea.

Way too many purple Guernsey around the stands for a Dees home game. 😬

We've never had an NT following...

It's a money trip

In our defence handball and run in to the wind is smart but you got to know when to get numbers up and play percentages

Just wondering how Freo can have such a following when they are not a big club or popular at all.

He's delusional.

About as good as his excuse of loading the past few year to no advantage.

Everyone else can see its a midfield issue except him.

Our midfield has been okay though today. We're losing through turnover. It's very concerning that a team like Freo scores 5.2 in the first quarter. We are badly out of sync.

Can we revisit selling this game?

I get the revenue but don't we want to win games first?

Our record here is not good enough for the cash.

They’re bigger than us

Fritsch couldn’t stick a tackle on an Auskick kid today. Players are just walking past him.

appalling skills

Yes, perhaps that’s a by-product of valuing Effort (contested possession) over every other facet.

Watch this now become a slog and arm wrestle where we just let the game drift away.

Why not be proactive for a change, and simply attack……………you know, like we used to do when we were good?

Weve become such a predictable and boring side. Contest defence, contest defence. Where is kicking goals in our list of priorities.

Petty up one handed [censored]

Can’t see how selling this game compensates from potentially missing a top 4 position.

Freo want this win. We are playing like we don’t care.

Absolutely weak effort by Fritsch

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
