As hopeless as Bombers are they have some forward craft and kick to a leading player. Create space in their forward 50 and can mark. It ainโ€™t that bloody hard.ย

We may be a club of two WCW. He was waxing lyrical about Cody Weightman, but (as you perfectly noted) his affectation is that adopted if describing the valour of a VC recipient

Nice to see Ryley Sanders running in the right direction ๐Ÿคฃ

Unlike last week

What will he have left for his ANZAC Day prematch intro? Heโ€™s using up all his tickets on matches such as this: 8th vs 13th, and at Marvel (could it be any more uninteresting?)

What the hell was that 50 for???!!!

ย

Omfg. This is bs. No ambiguityโ€ฆ he played on.ย

I legitimately think that the umpires are so focused on whatever it is headquarters wants each week they forget to umpire the basics. That non play on to Langford, after he ran off the line, was as obvious as the non 50 last night when Daniher threw the ball well over Leverโ€™s head.ย

doesn't feel like it's going to be a very defensive game whatsoever

good to watch as a neutral

By โ€œgoodโ€ you mean โ€œfrustratingโ€ right? Bulldogs are fighting an uphill battle.ย

Lol. the dogs canโ€™t even smash the bombers. neither team will play finals youโ€™d imagine

and Bevo still has a contract??

Dogs getting rolled with the umps, it would be funny Karma if it wasn't Essendon benefiting.ย

BTW that was a Mark to JUH, umpires have no feel for the game at all. I liked when there was a bit of the benefit of the doubt in favour of the guy going for the ball. I see alot more not paid than the 80s/90s

Dogs should be 5 goals up and are going to lose, neither team looking good for finals but will trip a few up.

aaaand TV switched off. Iโ€™d sooner stick toothpicks through my eyeballs than watch those disgusting fans celebrating their just as disgusting teamโ€™s win. ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ

We lose and Essendon win. Great start to the weekend.ย

Well thatโ€™s the Dogs Finishedย

Beveridge should walkย

Get JUH at the end of the Seasonย

I'm with you WCW.ย

As bad as we were last night at least I felt there was effort and pride not to let it become a smashing. Imagine being a dogs supporter.ย

Not entirely sure Caleb Daniel's loss of form may be all his own fault. Beveridge has gone from being intuitive to barmy.ย

Umps cleared on the Bombers bandwagon. As bad as umpiring as last night. ย Inconsistency is mad. ย Dogs had 3 head high tackles all missed and then bombers literally throwing the ball in tackles.ย

Beveridge is the architect of this.
Bailey Dale with the vest, while Oโ€™Donnell (who?) on the ground.
Caleb Daniel in the 2โ€™s.
Bont playing a lot down forward despite them already having Darcy, Naughton and Ugle-Hagen down there. Oscar Baker on a wing.
I could go onย

Heโ€™s trying to be smart, but instead is being stupid.

So when will the heat be put on bevo. I mean 8 years ago they won a flag and haven't done much since.ย

Last week they just fell short of geelong and the dons were pumelled. Essendon cannot be an 8 goal better team, surely.

This Bulldog team, despite having a horrible backline, has way too much talent in the midfield and up forward to be this shizen. Bevo needs to go. Or stay. I donโ€™t really care to be honest.ย

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasnโ€™t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals. ย

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturdayโ€™s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFLโ€™s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterdayโ€™s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andย  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

  • PREGAME: Hawthorn

The Demons return to the MCG this time as the visiting team where they get another opportunity to put a dent into a team's top 8 placing when they take on the Hawks on Saturday afternoon. Who comes in and who goes out?
