The ongoing problem for the Lions and Pies is they go missing when the physical pressure is turned up high. The difference tonight is simply the Lions forward line is a mess.

And to top it off, Hipwood has to be dropped - absolutely heartless and skill-less performance.

If it were Toby Green he’d be getting 3 without a shadow of a doubt.

Fourth week in a row the oppo fans have booed that filthy piece of sch!tt. Long may it continue.

We play them in round 13. If anyone thinks that by then the anger will have abated some, they’ve got another thing coming. The AFL wants it to go away and be forgotten. That ain’t happenin’ anytime soon.

Maynard will be booed by Melbourne fans for the rest of his career. We still boo Zorko!

I will spend the rest of my existence holding pure unadulterated hate for that subhuman, and somehow I don’t think I’m alone.
I dream of booing him off in round 24 after we smash the Pies and knock them out of finals contention.

We finished 4th last year with 16 wins & 4 losses. Regardless if the Pies win, it’s still difficult for either of these teams to make top 4. Swans finished 8th with 12.5 wins and 10 losses.

Lay off poor Eric I say. What about the filth captain racking up a whopping 2 more possessions from more time on ground.

Time to apply the blowtorch to him too

Need I remind you what happened to the last Pies player who fronted the tribunal for a violent act?

I don’t trust the MRO and the POS who runs it to make correct calls.

Dog act from Pendlebury on Neale. Off the ball, easily more than 5 metres. Not in play. Pendlebury slams the base of his hand into Neale's Solar Lexus. No warning. Dangerous. SHOULD BE SUSPENDED FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS.

Dog act Pendlebury.

Dog act.

Finally the baggage man delivers.

he needs to stand up

Not the result I hoped for (can’t see Brisbane winning this), but I’m encouraged by how average both of these teams still look. Neither of these teams are finishing top 4.

We will though.

Yes but BT poses the important questions, such as: have two opposing #46s ever gone up in the ruck?

Answer: who gives a [censored]

The disappointment in the voices of JB and BT when Brisbane kick a goal is palpable.

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
