The game has shifted and full forwards are going to be worth their weight in gold this year it feels. Geelong have bloody two of them. Will get them into finals easily. I [censored] hate Geelong.

Seems as if the Helen d'Amico post was deleted but that was a vivid childhood memory for me 😁 The 1982 Grand Final was the first GF I remember watching a full game for the first time.

As for the Crows, pretty disappointing, going backwards and that is fine with me.

Geelong with a full complement can be a threat to anyone on their day. Injuries to a few key players blunt them significantly though.

I’ve been a big fan of Adelaide’s list build but they are looking a mile off at the moment.
Maybe this is the one step back before the big jump next year; but from this two game sample, they have some big application issues.

Cats were 3 games short of finals last year. Hawk and the gang are another year older. They might start well but they’ll fade

I posted that pic of Helen d’Amico. What the hell was I thinking?!

😬

Soz mods.

2 games in so too early to have a proper gauge of where Crows are at but they need to improve significantly on what they've dished up so far. Pathetic for 3 quarters against the suns and underwhelming at home v the aging cats. I had them in the 8 but not as confident now.

Adelaide got completely out coached last night. Didn’t try and minimise Stewart (10 intercept marks, 28 disposals at 89% efficiency), let Dawson butcher the ball as distributor for too long, and no corridor movement.

If their kicking was better they could have gotten there, but they should have rolled Geelong as a baseline.

I know any exposure is supposed to be good publicity, but would you want your product associated with such a [censored] system as the AFL score review?

Very disappointed with the Crows. I have observed their slow, targeted rebuild and love that they have stayed the course with Nicks, but their onfield display is lifeless, lethargic and uninspiring. They have patches where they look a million dollars, but for 2/3 of each game they are simply jumper chasing. Too much talent to be this ineffective.

I was at that game but a long, long way from the Harmes incident as we were seated in the top deck behind the Punt Road goals at the opposite end of the MCG.

Let me say without hesitation, without doubt and unequivocally that I can absolutely, cross my heart, 100% guarantee that by that late stage of the game I was so drunk I couldn't even see the other end of the ground but can confirm that indeed it was definitely a legitimate goal.

You must have been in the same school as me, because i was very close to there.

To all the statisticians here, I'm just wondering if a team has comeback from zero and four to win a flag? (Hoping very much for the lions on their home turf next Thursday, to crush the filth).

Thanks. And if they have, what is the magic number thus far, required for  exclusion from a flag?

Let's not forget that the Pies were a good side last year but hardly a spectacular one. Good start to the season but tired significantly towards the end and then just scraped through ALL their finals.

I didn't get all the pre season talk about Crows being contenders.

They may get up tonight but they don't look convincing to me.

I agree. Petty will get pretty buggered running up and down each end
